    Pros

Just a job. Nothing is working at Deltek. It's a sink or swim guilt ridding culture.

    Cons

Deltek managers place fake positive reviews on line to boost the reviews of their company. Which says a lot about how deeply in trouble they are. Best advice to applicants: stay away from this company.

    Advice to Management

Stop paying lip service to customer service

    Pros

Interesting R&D work, relaxed work conditions, telecommuting.

    Cons

Health insurance package getting worse year by year.

    Advice to Management

We have great products and sales revenue is growing, but it is time to look forward for new R&D cycle for products that will sell in the future. I simply don't see that happening.

I have been working at Deltek full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I started working here right out of college and have been here for four years since. I have held several different roles, so I like that the company values their employees and supports their growth and goals. Skills and hard work are recognized.

    Cons

Company is fairly large so there's a lot of disconnect and loop holes you have to pass through in order to get work approved and completed.

    Advice to Management

Try to quicken processes and make notice of delays in the system.

I have been working at Deltek full-time

    Pros

    Cool benefits, mostly friendly coworkers

    Cons

Too much middle management, no cohesive direction for the company, too much building us up to sell again without actually selling us (leaving the company constantly feeling like it's in a innovation-less limbo)

    Advice to Management

Executive management needs to be more involved in overseeing middle management so that company values can't be undermined by lazy, egotistical, and frankly superfluous middle managers.

I have been working at Deltek full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work life balance is fantastic. They let many tenured folks work remote anywhere from one day a week to full time. People are generally friendly and you get to wear jeans to work.

    Cons

Career path is a little shaky. Many folks have been leaving lately because they haven't been getting promoted and there's no where else for them to go internally.

    Pros

The company has a lot of smart people that know how to get things done. The pay was not bad. The company has good products, especially in the gov con world. There are some great managers-not a lot but some. You can usually contribute to something you're interested in.

    Cons

There were a lot of pronouncements that are supposed to be "strategy." Cost centers (finance, IT, etc.) were so bloated with so many people. Managers try to grow and protect their fiefdoms. The executive team seemed stale and obviously working for the next company sale. It seems jobs keep going to Makati-check out the careers section of the website.

    Advice to Management

Stop outsourcing so much. Stop getting rid of your best people. Take better care of the people that are bringing in the money.
