    I have been working at Demandware full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great environment, great work/life value and understanding, world-class benefits, amazing team building in turn promoting a positive and productive work environment. Competitive salaries for the regions they occupy and an exponential growth element. Upper management makes it a point to get to know WHO you are, not just what you do, and can and will engage in conversations with you no matter what level employee you happen to be. I haven't enjoyed a job like this since before the .com bubble burst in 2000. I know our CEO personally, and he is a fantastic guy to work with. Incredibly intelligent in many walks of life and the business, and an all around great guy.

    Cons

    Recently acquired, so there are some questions on how (if at all) the environment will change, but even this isn't a con, given that reviews of the purchasing company are favorable and indicate that they have a similar environment and culture.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing. No matter what you may feel otherwise, your employees love and appreciate everything that you do for us.

    I worked at Demandware full-time

    Pros

    Demandware had a great culture with only a few exceptions. People really worked hard and worked together to accomplish their goals. The senior leadership was extremely approachable and easy to talk to. The customer facing organizations were top notch and always focused on the customer experience.

    Cons

    Some internal politics between "Old Demandware" employees and new hires.
    Innovation was lacking in certain areas.

    Great company to work for!

    I have been working at Demandware (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    I really love working for Demandware! They took over our small little company, and I admit to being a little worried.....big corporate! But I was sooooo wrong! The company cares so much for what they do, and who they employ! Even though I am not in HQ, I don't feel like I am not a part of the team. The transition was smooth, and we grew to be a larger part of a unified team. And it only keeps getting better!

    Cons

    If I have to say anything, (yes I am forced) I would say that since HQ is far away, its hard to go experience things there. BUT we get to stream everything, so we definitely do not miss out. Communication is important, and appreciated!

    everyone is hard workers with great attitude. there is no hierarchy barrier in day to day communication. I hardly see politics within the company.
    It is growing so fast and people are up beat to grow further

    Cons

    You feel the growth pain. It's been growing so fast you need to expect certain amount of over time and your day will be intensely busy. Company recognized it and working on this issue, but implementation will take more time

    Advice to Management

    need close look on day to day operation side and give more guidance on how to deal with this growth pain. majority of employees are feeling need more conference rooms, it support etc etc.. these small issues needs to be addressed and taken care of for the employees to focus what management want us to focus.

    Pros

    Great solution, well positioned, overall hardworking, professional, nice people, good benefits.

    Cons

    Some in key leadership roles not taken seriously due to repeated missteps. Company has outgrown the ability of inner circle to lead but they protect each other resulting in same mistakes. In need of outside influence to teach them how to run a company vs a product. Will require being acquired to flush out the stale and create new potential.

    Advice to Management

    More offense, less defense. Open up and let those with experience help take you to the next level.
