    I have been working at Denny's part-time

    Pros

    Lots of customers most of whom tip well if given proper service. I receive my tips everyday. Great work environment. Great place to work a part time job.

    Cons

    Customer complaints, short shifts, full time is unavailable to wait staff, lots of employee turn over, the cooks have a hard time learning the menu.

    Advice to Management

    Have a shift lead assigned on every shift to work and to help with controlling labor and food cost. Also to schedule longer shifts for those who want them to help reduce labor cost.

    Pros

    gives you opportunity to meet peoples who's come almost everyday or who's just traveling and happened to see the sign and come in to grab a bite and go .

    Cons

    when some one calling seek on weekends , sometimes it's very hard to covering shift, even when you have a back up person .

    please be real .

    Pros

    Interaction with guests and employees. Traveling to different and varies locations. Being hands on and developing and motivating managers and employees

    Cons

    At times the days are very long. But rewarding. Otherwise and overall it a great working environment. Highly recommend it.

    Pros

    low key, great customers, to succeed you are given the knowledge to give great customer service.

    Cons

    The staff that has remained there over the years, not all, but some are foul. They speak terribly in front of guests and if you are a server- the cooks can mess up your flow.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of the bad seeds.

    Pros

    IF you are driven you can learn valuable skills that will last a lifetime. A good Denny's GM could succeed at any other brand!

    Cons

    Over worked. Under paid. No budget to work with. Labor constraints to tight.

    Pros

    Really did enjoy the job and most of the people that I worked with.

    Cons

    Corporate didn't supply the needed of anything. Budget, management, repairs, or well really anything else.

    Advice to Management

    Increase the amount afforded to the individual stores.You can't raise sales when your food budget is to tight to order what is needed; or when equipment breaks down and it can't get repaired because the home office wont approve the costs.

    Customers CONSTANTLY trying to get food for free.

    Advice to Management

    Don't put the sales quota so high that Managers can't make the bonuses. We work VERY hard for the money!!!!!
