    I have been working at Dental Health Products full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Staff is friendly and helpful. Company is family owned. Average insurance but company has some additional unique benefits. On-Site Nurse and Massage Therapist visits. Work schedule can be flexible if needed. Casual dress is a plus. Small company feel with big company aspirations.

    Cons

    Sometimes communication between staff and management could be improved, as is the case in most companies.

    Advice to Management

    Keep in touch with employee concerns. Communication is key-keep up the good work!

    Pros

    Coworkers are very welcoming. Friendly, family atmosphere.

    Cons

    Very high turnover at all levels. Need to fill in some gaps in the products and services they provide. Sales goals are very unforgiving and don't account for the ebb and flow of business throughout the year. Severe lack of product training before being forced into customer interaction.

    Advice to Management

    Sales reps should not be viewed as strictly a financial commitment. To develop a proper sales force, there needs to be a focus on proper training to position your sales reps to be successful. If you are turning over a dozen employees in a single role over the course of a year, then maybe it's not the employees that are the problem, but rather your company.

    Family atmosphere, warm and friendly. Team focused so everyone is successful. Great management team that mentors and encourages success. Extra floating holidays.

    Pros

    They have very flexible about the scheduling. If you work in the IT department, you get to be lazy and not have to work. If you are one of the senior people, you get to leave on Fridays early not having to take up PTO.

    Cons

    They work place is very political. Since its a small company, if you are not one of their favorites, they don't care about you. The sales people control the entire company and usually get their own way. Management is ran entirely by the family. The family gets to come and go as they please. They don't follow business rules.

    Advice to Management

    Try to treat everyone the same and do not let the HR management talk about the sensitive information that people share there. Try to pay people what they are worth without being so cheap.

    Pros

    The co-workers are the greatest! Part- time Nurse!

    Cons

    Very Negative environment. Has many benefits, but the health insurance is costly and you get very little. Salary is very low end. cost of living is 2% per year.

    Advice to Management

    While I was there 5+ years, I counted 220+ employees left or terminated. Very High turn over for a small company in New Franken. Change your company culture. Treat your employees with respect and value all of them, you would them work harder for your company. Don't use them and get rid of them. Stop being so negative.. Communicate more with all employees, they can't read your minds.

    Pros

    Casual work environment. Some flexibility in work hours. Free ham or turkey instead of any holiday/christmas bonus.

    Cons

    Upper Management & owners are clueless to how unhappy most employees are. Under pay all non-management and make them work on salary with no extra money or time off for much extra work. Hugh turnaround in most departments. Almost all male management that is related to owners. They think a free cookie every 6 months will make up for little if any raises. However, owners can take several expensive vacations and exotic hunting trips every year to costly locations - while crying how money is down and everyone needs to work harder for nothing more.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your hard working and long time employees better ($) and take a hard look at your wasteful spending and excessive lifestyles.

    Pros

    Establishing close relationships with ordering customers
    Flexibility among the office

    Cons

    DHPI cares more about prospecting for new accounts than maintaining current ordering customers and their needs.
    FYI: Job Title says "Account Manager" which really equals "Telemarketer" They apply so much pressure regarding your cold call dials per day and don't take into consideration if you had a difficult customer or was helping a good ordering customer that took time from your day interfering with your cold call dials for the day.
    As mentioned in a previous review, Employees are HIGHLY UNDERVALUED and severely underpaid. Employees deal with issues management should be responsible for. Absolute horrible software & ordering system. Expensive Insurance. Lack of Communication among all departments.

    Advice to Management

    LISTEN TO YOUR EMPLOYEES. Don't continue to just blow them off and dismiss them as if they are easily replaceable. Stop listening to the negative long time employees who seem to have a lot of say among the office that create a lot uncomfortable working environment because management continues to back them up. Very disappointing that the good, honest, hard working employees are bullied in the office and not acknowledged when bringing issues to management. Word of advice, continue to keep the negative people, structure, unspoken rules and favoritism, I don't see the good employees or customers of DHPI sticking around long. Nobody likes being lied to or mislead, customers and employees.

    Pros

    Flexibility was a plus, coworkers were friendly and family-oriented and spend time together outside of work hours. On-site nurse, massage therapy. Wellness program to help encourage employee health.

    Cons

    Employees are highly undervalued and severely underpaid. Management is almost non-existent and have no interest in finding realistic ways to improve their own departments; employees are left to deal with issues management should be responsible for. No path for career advancement. Terrible software and ordering system, technology is hugely lacking.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees suggestions and complaints, don't just blow them off and dismiss them as if they are easily replaceable. Stop protecting and rewarding employees who act inappropriately. Start recognizing the employees who actually care and are there for the right reasons. Most of all be honest with your employees and customers, they know more than you realize and don't like the wool pulled over their eyes.

    Flex time in hours .

    Cons

    Poor health care offered . Poor managers in sales and poor sales director that is not in office . Only men in top positions . Owners don't care to offer much in pay . Only care about there own pockets . Not a good place to work .
