I have been working at DentalOne Partners (Less than a year)

    Pros

There have been many changes within the organization resulting in improved efficiencies and a talented team of professionals focused on patient care, teamwork and career growth. If you thrive in an environment of innovation and can adapt well to the excitement of change, DentalOne is the place for you! Very excited to see what the future holds for this growing, dynamic company!

    Cons

A matching 401K contribution would be nice.

    Advice to Management

Continue your focus of hiring and retaining talented team members and investing in the practices and the people. You are setting yourselves and the company up for success!

I worked at DentalOne Partners full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Good DDS
    Decent hours
    Paid for laser certification
    Occasional CE classes given
Hygiene study mtgs, but no CEs for them

    Cons

-Not seen as the professionals we are.
-The new perio program is unethical.
-Take HMOs and therefore receive zero production income
-Hourly pay is $30!! OR 30% commission-sounds ok right? Not with HMO, low paying PPO plans and the company has its own discount plan. So you you are expected to upsell everything to the patient. Patient is feeling some discomfort during an appointment? Needs a little numbing? Oraqix that is. We now have to charge them for it. What happen to providing a comfortable service because we care?
-The paper work is insane! Whatever it is you are doing now, imagine at least double. Yes, we still use charts.
-Limited on what we can order.
-And of course there is the constant pay structure change with barely any notice. These seem to have fallen Sept/Oct the last 2-3 times. Conveniently the worst months for the dental profession.

    Advice to Management

I know hygienist who have left the company have offered their input on how to possibly better certain situations, but where never contacted. I doubt any advice I would give on Glassdoor would be taken seriously. As far as I have seen there are just snarky comments from John or Tammy.

    Pros

It's a time of tremendous growth and opportunity - we have an established market presence but are looking to reach new levels, so the excitement is contagious!
