I have been working at Denton Independent School District part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible scheduling that attempts to vetted to college students in some regards. The benefits and the put cycles around Christmas time to do get a little bit weird though which I am not a fan of.

    Cons

Some of the work availability is actually very poor for what you think you are going to be getting. You're promised one thing and then another one completely is brought on when it comes to time to do your scheduling.

I have been working at Denton Independent School District part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Staff is friendly and professional. They work hard to meet the needs of all students.

Subs are values by the full time staff and treated very well.

    Flexible schedule.

    Cons

Sub pay hasn't increased much in 10 years. $80 per day for a sub with a bachelor's degree isn't competitive.

    Advice to Management

Consider having a merit system for subs. If they regularly work at a few schools and have been with the district for over 4 years they are doing a great job. A bonus or increase in pay would help keep good subs.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Denton Independent School District part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Good pay for college students.
-Flexible with school for college students.
    -Great people to work with.
-Lots of control of daily activities.
-You get to experience having your own class.
-Coordinators are super nice and helpful.

    Cons

Things can be chaotic at times with both the students at the school and in dealing with the main office, but that should be expected with any job related to education. Also, especially at meetings, the coordinators sometimes have a habit of talking to the staff as if we are children.

    Advice to Management

Talk to the staff like adults and treat them more like adults, and you will in turn have employees who realize that the expectations are set high and they will act more responsibly.
