I have been working at Dentsu Aegis Network full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It is a very fun, inclusive , innovative place to work. The people are generally quite young so the atmosphere is good. Very sociable and everyone gets along well.

    Cons

As with most , there can be a struggle with a work life balance. Working late is a given, but more so when working on pitches etc

    Advice to Management

Should get a clear structure for progression and team management

    Pros

Work Life balance. Free Food. Good Hours

    Cons

    No advancement, raises are minimal
    Unprofessional supervisors
Direct management is terrible and will hinder advancement at every chance
    Tons of gossip
    No career growth

    Advice to Management

Advice for prospective hires, look elsewhere. For those fresh out of college this is a good opportunity to build a resume. For anyone coming in with experience, save yourself a headache and keep looking.

I have been working at Dentsu Aegis Network full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Add agency work style, causal dress, work life balance, decent vacation time.

    Cons

Depends on department. They're and add agency, not a financial firm

I worked at Dentsu Aegis Network full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Promoted quickly (meritocracy), nice office, good people

    Cons

lack of real heavy hitting leadership in functional areas. There are good managers, but for example, I saw a real lack of digital leadership from the top

I have been working at Dentsu Aegis Network full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

junior employees are wonderful and highly skilled because they have to pick up the slack from management
    literally nothing else

    Cons

-supervisors and management is absolutely terrible.
-no one takes ownership and blames everything on others (and will throw you under the bus BY NAME to the client)
-this is just overall the most unprofessional environment I've EVER been in. literally EVER.
-people gossip, talk badly about coworkers and then will lie to your face
-Empower will lose their client, no doubt

    Advice to Management

At this point, I have none. Close up shop - its gotten that bad

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    -Nice office
    -great facility staff and snacks
-there were great people in the beginning

    Cons

    Management is out of touch
    Brutal hours
    Understaffed
    High turnover
Promotions only happen when employees leave
    Poor structure in place
    Top heavy staffing
Will likely lose account in 2017

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and help fix the problems that have been voiced to you for months and years. Not sure why this is worth typing, though. It's been proven that upper management doesn't listen.

I have been working at Dentsu Aegis Network full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Pay is good.
    - Good people on the account teams and in other departments that handle day-to-day client work.
    - Weekly team happy hours.
    - Educational resources and opportunities to attend conferences.

    Cons

    - LOTS of turnover.
    - Performance reviews aren't enforced and the process takes 3 - 6 months...
    - Never have fully staffed teams (because management/finance won't let the teams hire regularly) so work is pushed to whichever employees are still around.
    - Processes are slow and make it hard to do your job at a pace which would satisfy teams and clients alike.
    - Upper management doesn't really know what they're doing and doesn't truly understand the work that the day-to-day client/account teams are doing.
    - Likely to loose all of it's business soon.
    - Denstu Aegis seems more focused on acquiring new companies than ensuring the individual brands are being managed effectively.

    Advice to Management

    - Improve your hiring process.
    - Make sure managing leadership knows what they are doing and HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR RESULTS.

I have been working at Dentsu Aegis Network full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -Great coworkers
    -Snacks
    -Thursday happy hour
-and...great coworkers (yes I know I said that twice)
-Supervisors are really helpful and know the business

    Cons

    -Work/life balance
-Benefits is a tad bit slacking
    -Compensation is lower than others
-Lost GREAT, experienced employees due to higher up failing to keep their promises of promotions
-Upper management does not know how to listen/act to their employees' cry for help
-Some employees should have been promoted but never had
-Needs to fire management that does not know the ins and outs of media
    -Turnover rate is HIGH
-Doesn't feel like a real ad agency

    Advice to Management

-Promote those who show great work ethic
-Promote those who actually know the business
-Fire incompetent managers who do NOT know basic ad systems
-Retention should be your #1 priority since you have lost out to GREAT employees to rival agencies
-Work/Life balance and benefits could be better
-Hear your employees out. If they are complaining about something, act on it and do not ignore it
-Talk to ALL LEVELS of employees; not just your Media Directors/AMDs/Supervisors; Assistants here come in and leave in a short time span (3 days is the record here from start to finish)
