    Pros

Work well with building work schedules to not conflict with other obligations. Fun atmoshere and great coworkers make working everyday enjoyable. Great contact from management about possibilities and extra time working.

    Cons

Pay schedule is a little off. For two week pay schedule, the checks are for two pay periods previous. Makes dependency on checks unreliable. Cost of uniforms upfront gets expensive as well with all the necessary pieces.

I worked at Detroit Tigers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working in the front office for the Detroit Tigers is exciting and a great experience to be able to see what goes on in the background of professional baseball.

    Cons

The pay is a joke. The HR department is not supportive or helpful, but rather condescending controlling. There is nowhere to move up or grow professionally. The morale is lower than any other place I've worked.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more and let them know they are valued. Do not let the human resources department make anyone feel as though they are inferior and do not deserve to work there.

I worked at Detroit Tigers part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It is a fun place to work, you meet great people, awesome for networking, great environment. Can't ask for more if you love baseball.

    Cons

The pay is what you would expect in professional sports, but it is made up for by the awesome experience. The hours and long and you work weekends and holidays, but that is to be expected as well.

    Advice to Management

If you want to keep good staff, you have to pay them more. The turn over rate can be very high because people realize they can make more money outside of sports.

I have been working at Detroit Tigers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working in the sports industry is exciting. The Detroit Tigers offer an opportunity for entry level employees to begin your career in Sports.

    Cons

Work hours are absurdly long and the pay is pathetic at best. Office camaraderie is down due to poor management. There is little to no room for growth/promotion. It is best to take an entry level position with the Tigers if you can, and leave within 5 years to grow your career elsewhere.

I have been working at Detroit Tigers part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Location, location, location, the energy is unmatchable.

    Cons

It's only a part-time, no benefits. I would like to keep my weekend or evening hours if available, who would not want to work for the BEST Baseball organization in the continental US

    Advice to Management

If I could give them advice I would not be looking for additional work. I appreciate the opportunity the Detroit Tigers Organizations has extended me, having any job is a blessing having two jobs are true signs of a go-getter, but having benefits are priceless no matter the job. Facing high dental, vision, and medical bills defeat any opportunity to get more out of a paycheck. I recently looked into taking classes at an institution were I could better myself for the job at hand but being able to pay the tuition was my only obstacle. I guess it would be to my benefit to check to see if they have tuition reimbursement.
