I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The work environment and company benefits were outstanding.

    Cons

Long work hours and internal systems were poor compared to competitors. Also, the pay was slightly lower, however the difference could be made with overtime.

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Management Team in Jacksonville, Florida

    Cons

Corporate expects you to work long days with no OT. They overload you and expect you to do it all in a day. When I went on as a permeant employee they forced me to show my W2 from previous jobs. Then low balled me in the pay claiming I will get it back in bonus. They offered me $57,000. Once I found another job I left. Doing same exact job now with less work making $68,000. My advice to new employees get your money up front for pay because bonus is non existent and you will be stuck with that pay for years.

    Advice to Management

Stop low balling employees on pay because they started out temp. You loose talented employees that way.

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Interesting projects. Very advanced people still exist in the firm to collaborate with. A lot of opportunities to learn about markets and technology. Possibility to try different roles. Decent pay, but with lack of progression. Great people to work with and a healthy environment overall. Very good location to settle down.

    Cons

Constantly changing strategy regarding DBCenter locations, leading to lack of stability. HR is very secretive. Reporting structure conflicts with who determines promotion. Penny smart and pound stupid. Unable to keep top talent from leaving the firm. Ridiculous culture trainings. Too much focus on diversity.

    Advice to Management

Pay advancement must be reviewed to keep talent and key personnel from leaving the firm.

    Pros

Good vacation , and benefits are ok.

    Cons

out of data hardware and software, if you like working in 2005 era. To many managers and pointless meetings, Expect to work 10 -11 hours a day. They overload you and expect you to do it all. There are more managers on my team then workers.
No training either, and terrible documentation on their processes.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the IT contractors they don't care and just screw up everything.

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Convenient location outside of downtown, good opportunities in some areas.

    Cons

If you are not labeled immediately as a Sr. Mgmt favorite, then move on. You will be stuck forever. Stock is plummeting - no bonuses for last two years and threat of nothing in year three. Massive layoffs and horrible morale.

    Advice to Management

Tone down blatant favoritism towards those earmarked with potential by Sr. Mgmt.
