I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The main building located at 60 Wall street, consider a good location to work at. Work place is ok.

    Cons

Down sizing, let people go left and right. Pay out freeze, don't have strong presence in Wall street.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to efficiency of the work flow.

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Friendly work environment
    Good work life balance
    Decent job security

    Cons

Compensation cut by removing bonuses, salary adjustments promised but never delivered
No career progression, limited opportunities for recognition
Organisation has poor understanding of technology, improvement is painfully slow

    Advice to Management

If you want to be a technology company; take a look at how technology companies actually operate and treat their technology staff. It's not enough to just keep saying you reward and retain talent, you have to actually do it.

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great technical team members to work with.
    Good vacation policy.

    Cons

Does not treat employees with respect when they resign.
Poor retention policy. HR has no processes in place to discuss with employees why they are leaving.
Current DB employees should be aware that DB has no policy of paying for accrued vacation not used. Use up all your vacation before you resign.

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees with respect.

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

IT organization is changing slowly towards to new technology and standards with an opportunity to find a good role. It is a good place to start and learn.

    Cons

Expensive, complicated and isolated IT organization with limited control from business stakeholders resulted in a loss of focus and waste of money. Badly designed policies and regulations result in a gap between declaration and and reality, with chaos in different areas, no promotion for really valuable technicians, high level of hypocrisy in management and HR. Your evaluation in most of the cases fully depends on your relations with direct manager rather than on your skills and achievements.
