I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time

    Pros

Lean deal teams with significant exposure to various work streams. Market compensation relative to other banks

    Cons

Similar to any banking job. Long hours with limited control over your time. Almost everyone gets promoted so there is little incentive to work beyond what is needed.

    Advice to Management

Be more selective on who gets promoted within the firm. Provide some version of work-life balance or increased pay to stop junior team members from leaving.

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time

    Pros

The company has a ton of opportunities to get involved in employee resource groups (think "clubs", or common interest groups), promotes equality in every aspect, and communication is pretty good from the top down.

    Cons

It can be tough for internal transfers, raises, or promotions. There is a still a bit of that old school, "good ol' boy", days of Wall Street yore mentality that makes it even tougher for women and/or minorities to feel appreciated, equal, or valued. With that being said, I do believe the company is TRYING to make it better and becoming more progressive.

    Advice to Management

Be your employee's champions - promote them when they deserve it (not just if they ask), recognize your dedicated employees, and when you know there's an opportunity for them elsewhere in the bank that would help progress their career, champion for them - the goal should be to keep good employees at the bank and helping them grow. Holding them as long as you can on one team without any growth or new challenges will make them feel undervalued, and the bank will lose those assets.

    Pros

Good benefits, appreciates the audit department. They will actually pay to retain their talent and have good perks in the Wall Street office

    Cons

Large firm, employees can be pretentious. Other than that it is a pretty enjoyable place to work. As long as you don't mind them in the news all the time.

    Pros

The work environment and company benefits were outstanding.

    Cons

Long work hours and internal systems were poor compared to competitors. Also, the pay was slightly lower, however the difference could be made with overtime.
