    Pros

Well paid, generally work with high quality colleagues

    Cons

Mr. Cryan, the CEO, is on the right track--best of luck to him and the management team

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Intelligent people with a can do attitude. Global in view and nature. Investing heavily in new fintech

    Cons

Cost cutting over the past 10 years has meant old systems and a lack of infrastructure investment. Some parts of bank are old and stuffy

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting based on years of service and instead base it on people's accomplishments. Invest in better systems and infrastructure.

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Base salary, benefits, and 401k are top tier in the local market. Great location on Weston, solid cafe and gym on site, near greenway that connects with lots of trails. Bonus calculation was overhauled this year, last years was decent even in a rough patch for the bank.

Software dev tooling greatly improving YoY, catching up (but not there yet) with modern practices. Moving faster than most SIFIs I would imagine.

Lots of thorny problems to solve with code, and the average caliber around you is quite high. Site represents many business lines and infrastructure functions.

    Cons

Paperwork during onboarding and paperwork getting a project started. Paperwork at deployment time. Paperwork getting your machine configured.

    Advice to Management

Automate the dozens of standard requests that sap time and energy from real work. Surely all the brains around here can figure out that in a compliant way?

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Deutsche Bank treats it's employees well. Most who work here have a good work/life balance, but really it depends on your team and management. Pay and benefits are competitive. My current manager is wonderful, and cares about me and my career. I generally feel like I'm contributing to the company. Nice building and desk layout. Mostly interesting people. Good communities.

    Cons

We are slowed by regulations and compliance. Some things that should be easy are hard to do at the bank, like installing free software.

    Advice to Management

Don't give up on fighting to be productive. Try to keep employees motivated.
