I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Equal opportunity employer
    Rich knowledgle & intelligent staff
Provides great learning and mobility opportunities

    Cons

Spends a lot on consultants & temporary staff
Invests too much in building offshore centres and pulls out before getting ROI and ending up with sunk cost

    Advice to Management

Reduce dependency & spend on temporary staff & consultants and invest more on retention of talented staff. Avoid spending on building offshore centres which only provide temporary respite from cost overheads and instead drive efficiency from hub locations. Centralise functions and decision making

Impressive talent at every level. It was an impressive group to work with despite being challenging time for the company and a great deal of change and transition going on.

    Cons

The turnover had been very high leading to a lack of continuity and in some areas morale was low.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The people were great, but we were all stressed recently. Lots of options to move internally if you are proactive and work hard. Like any large organization, understanding how to get things done and knowing who is who is a major element of success. I had several great bosses and colleagues, we made it through many challenges as a team. I consider them great friends, period.

    Cons

The company itself is going through major changes still remaining from the 2007-2008 financial crisis. Some business units and departments will thrive, and others will shrink. Do you own homework to evaluate the opportunity for yourself.

    Advice to Management

Right now DB is talking a lot about how to "fix" itself. But DB's vision going forward is unclear beyond upgrading its financial ratios. Clarify what DB will be over the long-term rather than only reacting to news articles.

I worked at Deutsche Bank as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people, overtime is time and a half, encouraged to network and learn more, committed to diversity, exceptional access to resources, not a watered down internship experience, good hours

    Cons

GTB divisional training for interns could be more extensive, antiquated technology, cross divisional networking isn't emphasized, not heavily quantitative work in general

    Advice to Management

Perhaps have rotations in TF/CMC and ICSS
