    Pros

I was able to do my work pretty independently and didn't have supervisors micro-managing my work.

    Cons

The Jacksonville office has a lot of turn over.

    Advice to Management

It's nice to receive more than a nominal bonus at the end of the year.

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits and seems like they pay okay. This is probably because of the German ties. At the end of the day, it's still a bank.

    Cons

Fast paced but unorganized. Management was good with day to day - not so good with long term view.

    Advice to Management

Find a better way to attract and retain young talent. I saw this place as a revolving door for 18 months. Sad.

    Pros

    People! People, People!
In my two and a half decade long career I've come across many huge companies as a consultant, of course, and would never choose to join. This on is different. The people here, each and every one, are just down to the ground decent human beings.
The company takes care of it own.
This is one of those families one normally never leaves.

    Cons

A long, hard, unforgiving stream of bad luck, fines and repetitional damage. And for our industry reputation is everything.
Also, despite the fact that all of us are great people we tend to collectively cause each-other unnecessary grief.
The upper management has a clear understanding and viable vision to what needs to be done to right the ship.
The contributing mice are all experts in their respective domains.
Nevertheless, top to bottom, the message is often lost or distorted in transaction or propagation.
The overall culture is healthy but the middle-tier mentality is archaic.
The core values campaign in well put together and slowly produces results - keyword is slowly.

    Advice to Management

    1. Gut your middle-management!
    2. A good general business manager will not always produce good results, especially in IT. For IT - hire from successful IT and preferably not from banking.
    3. Same training for everyone is a waste of time and money. Leave core values and some regulatory training as is. Drop all else for IT and produce IT specific training.
    4. IT is your greatest loss - treat it as a separate industry / company.

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Nothing really. You shouldn't work there unless you're desperate. Location not great either. Women are not taken seriously. One off managers can be good.

    Cons

Cost cutting. Everything is very slow and bureaucratic. Women are not treated as leaders. While some managers are good, most are terrible.

    Advice to Management

    Create a proper culture.

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Nice steady pay, good benefits, very little micro managing. People are nice.

    Cons

IT is very poor, the people making decisions about your role and your career are in another country and don't know you. Pay and bonus often don't increase much for years even with promises of the opposite due to "company issues". Chicago office building is nice, but the DB floors are not great. Hardly any social outings.

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Interesting projects. Very advanced people still exist in the firm to collaborate with. A lot of opportunities to learn about markets and technology. Possibility to try different roles. Decent pay, but with lack of progression. Great people to work with and a healthy environment overall. Very good location to settle down.

    Cons

Constantly changing strategy regarding DBCenter locations, leading to lack of stability. HR is very secretive. Reporting structure conflicts with who determines promotion. Penny smart and pound stupid. Unable to keep top talent from leaving the firm. Ridiculous culture trainings. Too much focus on diversity.

    Advice to Management

Pay advancement must be reviewed to keep talent and key personnel from leaving the firm.
