I have been working at Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fantastic core facilities, great research funding

    Cons

Lots of internal politics (see widely reported recent scandal regarding the appointment of new director), internal competition between groups, an inflexible admin department with too much power. Scientists on short term contracts rotate through too quickly, core staff on permanent contracts not highly motivated.

I worked at Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum full-time

    Pros

    - International environmental
    - Good training (excellent lectures and courses)
    - well known institution

    Cons

    - barely illegal working hours

    Advice to Management

    - It actually depends in which department you do work and the kind of group leader you actually have.

I have been working at Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great working climate, everybody is helpful, employees are respected by their peers and managers - at least in IT, I can't speak for the scientific departments. Many opportunities for further qualification.

    Cons

It is small IT-wise, so the learning experience is limited. Also it is paying TVL rates only.
