I worked at Devcon® Security Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I made decent money, because I was willing to work hard, I personally like the pay structure and the freedom of the job, however most were unable to cut it and it was like a revolving door.

    Cons

Was the top salesman and got let go a week before they closed to branch, in order to save the company money on severance.

I worked at Devcon® Security Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Devcon Security and Pinnacle Security were geared up to treat customers well but that never materialized so its good that they were acquired by ADT. They all treat customers the same...poorly.

    Cons

Devcon Security and Pinnacle Security merged, but they called it a partnership...the merger was poorly handled and there were too many executives with disparate information all trying to be heard. There were 3 CEOs in as many weeks...and other industry leaders who were lured in to 'talk' quickly saw how bad it was and never looked back.

    Advice to Management

Share information with your management staff. Be visible around the offices. Don't let uneducated 20-21 year olds loose out on the street to sell your services...they are less than honest with potential new customers. Teach the street sales teams to NOT make out with underage girls in homes they are trying to sell services to; teach them to NOT make overt passes at underage girls in front of the mother, to whom they are attempting to make a sale; tell them to NOT urinate in a potential customer's bathroom trash can because they said 'no' to buying service.

    Advice to Management

Be honest with employees, if you see the signs that the office will close, stop training employees or give them more notice that the office will be closing soon.
