Pros
Beautiful office space, high end building, field offices are even super nice. Pay is competitive. People are friendly.
Cons
Layoffs, mergers, constant change, fear of job loss, no accountability for upper management. A man’s company, very few women in management.

Pros
There is always something to learn, compensation is amazing.
Cons
Workload was OVERWHELMING, ridiculous turn over rate makes working across business units, supervisors are always left out of the loop when upper management makes decisions, and those decisions made are confusing or don't seem logical to employees that are actually doing the work. WAYS TO MANY LAYERS!! Layoffs year, after year, after YEAR.

Pros
Good benefit package, good severance packages, knowledgeable co-workers,
Cons
Not enough transparency from upper management, tend to hide things until last minute.

Some middle and upper management is very old school, thinks they know best without listening to the experts on the ground floor.

Pros
Great benefits, flexible work week, good compensation. Great people to work with!
Cons
A shift in upper management has changed the culture at Devon and mass lay-offs due to downturn in O&G market don't help. Significant changes in data management structure and data analytic platforms make it very difficult for techs to perform their job because of inflexibility in the ability to manipulate data. Management has favorites and they want the good ole boy yes men. If you are out spoken, innovative beyond their vision, you will not do well here.

Pros
Beautiful building, good people, company is involved in the community. I am proud to work there. Great benefits package including 8% contribution to 401k on top of a 3 to 6% match depending on seniority. Encouraging of additional education outside of work.
Cons
Devon is a large company with a lot of inertia. Although upper management seems dedicated to being nimble, there is still a lot of "this is the way we have always done it" mentality, which can be frustrating, among much of the middle management.

Pros
They treat their employees well in terms of pay and benefits.
Cons
There is a lot of politics in the upper management of Devon. Some room for growth, not a lot.

Pros
Upper Management "walks the walk, & Talks the talk" good bunch.
Cons
Lower Management lacks experience & basically run the company the way they want, then lie to upper management, where the actual workers get treated poorly. HR & Lower Management actually team up, so when asked about any situation by upper management, they actually lie about actual events, or at minimum twist the facts - very little transparency at lower levels.

Pros
Great benefits and perks!! Also flexible work schedule! Care about employees!
Cons
Upper management makes poor decisions.
