    Pros

    Worked here for 1 year. It is a sales position more than a consulting machine. The training is good, however I felt as though I was mislead on what the job was.

    Cons

    Bait and switch for many people at the beginning. Product is dead.

    Pros

    Great people who really try each and every day! If you understand that it's a competitive marketplace and work hard, you can do it. I worked at Dex for over 20 years. The company gave me a great life and lots of opportunities to provide for my family.

    Cons

    Print has its challenges. Very competitive as most industries are today.

    Advice to Management

    Fabulous co-workers and great building/workspace.

    Cons

    Campaign managers are very overloaded with work. There is little freedom to solve problems or spend time with your clients' accounts. You operate off a checklist every month.

    Trust campaign managers enough to give them the liberty to take care of their clients' needs.

    Benefits, great employees (many of which have left to be treated with respect)

    Cons

    Reorganization is part of any business. In years past, Dex was all about doing what's right for it's people. As leaders we believed if you take care of your employees, listen to them, respect the job that they do and care about and manage each as an individual-great results would follow. No longer-

    Advice to Management

    There are so many companies out there now that have what "we" use to have at Dex. Great environments with great results because they value their employees and treat them as equals. It's not about titles, it's about PEOPLE. It worked well for me for many years. I know how difficult being in a Leadership role is. But I also know how difficult it is being in an entry level position. Remember, with all due respect, the customers and employees that are bringing in revenues. If you are in a sales environment, find your gap to plan, sit down with your Team and get their feedback on how "we" can accomplish what needs to be accomplished. It should never be about "I NEED THIS TODAY-NOW GO MAKE IT HAPPEN!" Strategize and share ideas. And finally, you (Dex) have lost many of your top performers because of some of the things I've mentioned here. If you value ALL of your people, they will walk through fire for you. I know it worked for me. Best of luck in your future.

    Pros

    Dex was a wonderful place to work 15 - 20 years ago. They do try hard as a company to stay up with the latest digital advertising products and services.

    Cons

    Dex has alot of customer issues that has created a negative reputation.

    Advice to Management

    Make sure you always provide the excellent customer service and many touchpoints with clients

    The people were what made it great.

    Cons

    I can't speak on how things are since I left, but the overall morale was so low it made it hard to go to work in the morning.
