    Pros

    Small company, family atmosphere.

    Cons

Disgruntled former employees have a tendency to bash after they are let go. Not the company’s fault they caused their own issues

    Advice to Management

None, keep up the great work

I worked at DiaSorin full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good work life balance, great people to work with, stable. Company car or car allowance. phone,IPAD, laptop. Loved working here, and miss working with lots of the people. No drug test for new hires. Great place to work as long as your not on the Northeast team.

    Cons

Northeast Manager is a micro manager and creates division among the team members. Also very unprofessional when addressing people on the team. Company as a hole is slow to respond to issues and create change. Upper management seems oblivious to regional issues or just does not care. HR department has been nonexistent the last couple years. There is no growth opportunities for Field Service within regions. No choice on company vehicals, car is to small to use for personal use and work.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people, respond in a timely manner to complaints or suggestions. Create a way for your employees to discuss and be involved in fixing problems.

I worked at DiaSorin full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My manager and our boss were good.

    Cons

Departments work in silos. There is no team feel. Every department is out for themselves and finger points and throws other departments under the bus. If it wasn't for my manager I would have not stayed.

    Advice to Management

Stop all the rumors. Be truthful to the peons. Stop acting superior. Get the company to work as one. Stop allowing favoritism.

I have been working at DiaSorin full-time

    Pros

Good company with a lot of potential.

    Cons

HR department has constant employee turnovers. There is no support from an HR perspective for employees. Paychecks are wrong - you have audit each check to make sure your net pay is accurate. Some weeks - your check is pending at the bank, and PTO accumulations are off. They forget to take out your deductions and then you have to pay double the next pay period. If you work hard, there are no promotions.

    Advice to Management

Look at the employees that work hard and promote. Re-structure the HR Department with people that want to focus on human beings and help the employees. Invest in your people.

    I worked at DiaSorin full-time

    Pros

    - if you need job in this area

    Cons

    - chaotic structure after takeover (former Focus Diagnostics). There's the Italian management, plus a different US subsidiary of the Italian company owners who also have "input" and influence in this company's affairs.
    - questionable how long they will remain in Cypress
    - no significant new products in many (6+ ) years; previous advantages now either the same as everyone else or not as good
    - low pay and lousy benefits/vacation package - well below industry standards (e.g. limited number of national holidays off - you have to take it out of your own vacation)

    Advice to Management

    None. They know everything.

I have been working at DiaSorin full-time

    Pros

The people are great, very welcoming in all departments.

    Cons

The corporate end, HR, mostly has been constantly changing making any sort of consistency in policy and enforcement impossible.

    Advice to Management

Long term employees should be a retention focus as well, the focus seems to be on keeping new people not the 7+years people.

    Pros

DiaSorin has a great company culture. The US Field Service and Technical Support departments have a collaborative work environment and great engineers. The company has had some growing pains in the past but seems to have found its bearing now. The company is growing through acquisitions and partnerships with major medical laboratories and hospital systems.

    Some of the Pros are:
    Great service department
    6% match on 401k
    Long term growth potential
Recognition for hard work and initiative

    Cons

Field Service Engineers have a fair amount of administrative work.
Service report software is not user friendly and is buggy.
Management styles vary across the US resulting in certain regions having more issues than others.

    Advice to Management

Try to find a balance between company growth and investment in employees. Turnover slows growth so keeping and cultivating employees should be a company priority.
