    Pros

    -Great colleagues and overall cooperative atmosphere. Generally, supportive environment, including numerous social outings. -Generous PTO & 401k matching. -Added headcount will have long term positive impact. -Employee growth & development is supported. Many employees grow internally within the organization, which is great to see.

    Cons

    -Outdated processes make the job more complex than necessary & leads to inefficiencies. Multiple major software/systems changes within a short period of time add to the overall complexity. Communication about these changes could be improved. -Training/Onboarding program needs work. -No paid sick time. Especially short sighted after a global pandemic.

    Pros

    I got lucky with my cohort and met some really great friends while working here. Senior management is awesome. They provide a free meal through a catering company every day. For the holidays they gave us a nice gift card, random employee appreciation starbucks gift card and costco gift card, and a Knott's Berry Farm company picnic. Night shift gets plenty of overtime which depending on your situation could be a good or bad thing.

    Cons

    Extremely repetitive and boring. Job description awfully misleading because it sounds lab instrument-based but there is little to none actual lab experience needed for this job. You cap out on skills you gain from this job within a few months, maybe even less than that. The worst is when you are contracted through a temp agency. They like to keep night shift as temps so when you are of no use anymore they can let you go at any given moment with no notice or grace period... yet when the employee gives a courtesy of two week notice they will say to just not come back at all. Pretty shady.

    Pros

    Employee benefits are above-average for company this size. Freedom to prioritize work and choose when to take lunch and breaks. Some quality people to work with are present. Amid the chaotic workflow the passing of time can dissolve quickly, which can be looked at as a silver lining if you want to take a glass half full perspective.

    Cons

    Company was chronically understaffed at critical positions of need and failed to post openings for roles that were long vacated , leaving a select few employees to work weekly "voluntary" overtime to process materials and keep the excessive workload from flooding into the next days excessive workload. Available space in building was badly overwhelmed and bloated on a daily basis with obstructions and gross inefficiencies being a consequence; alternative methods of addressing the issue were insufficient and only created more wasted daily motions while spreading employee resources thin. Leadership refuses to proactively address the glaring challenges and kicks the can at the expense of the blue-collar employees. The ratio of material volume and expected output vs. reasonable capacity and resources is as bad as I have experienced. Some departmental areas are much less impacted than others by the infrastructural neglect, but the clear lack of resources creates adversity for many who already have enough on their plate. Employees in certain departments did not perform their roles with consideration to company limitations and this was highly burdensome on negatively affected departments. Incoming nonstop and overwhelming workflow had a way of pushing the boundaries of mistreatment without discretion on some occasions. Job took a considerable physical toll on me while systematically chipping away at my psychological well-being. Leadership in Italy has maintained an unsustainable status quo and is unsupportive; while local leadership will suggest to have their hands tied, more advocacy for the hard working day-after-day employees in less than glamorous roles should be provided. Feels like leadership just looked the other way from their relative safe spaces while occasionally putting out the idea of future changes which never seem to be realized. Work environment was often downtrodden in nature as a consequence with a lot of pessimistic chatter going around.

    Pros

    •the people-my team is amazing and supportive •flexibility •Human Resources cares about you •get to make a positive impact •you get to share ideas and opinions to better processes or create, aren't just a number •excellent benefits

    Cons

    •onboarding wasn't the greatest- too much information overload, not enough introduction to company, products, objectives,etc. everything is just thrown at you with no clear why.

    Pros

    Cypress location: Catered lunch which wasn't always great, but it was free. Most employees are eligible for a yearly bonus of 3% of your salary. Tuition reimbursement. Professional development.

    Cons

    Cypress location: Lots of turnover in all departments. For people working in production, they get treated terribly with mandatory overtime and grueling schedules. Most supervisors and managers have been there for a long time but don't exhibit real leadership skills. Directors and VPs at the company are unprofessional and all about politics. In less than a year, a whole department was laid off, the President was fired, there was an IT breach, multiple HR people were fired or quit. The focus is on the wrong employees.

    PTO and benefits. Some people are nice.

    Cons

    Very toxic environment and culture!! Constant turnover in many departments. Multiple HR roles have rotated out 2-3 times in a single year. Upper management describes toxic individuals as "passionate", which is very dissappointing to hear from leaders. Lots of yelling, cursing, blaming/faulting people, and unprofessional behavior. No shares or ESPP. Italian based company who doesn't appreciate their staff or care about changing in order to retain talent. Dysfunctional and totally unorganized. Poor planning.
