    Pros

Diageo is a flexible working environment. The senior management is approachable. Great place to learn functional skills. The employee resource groups provide great foundations for diverse employees.

    Cons

They want to move as many jobs overseas as possible. Restructures happen every six months, a lot of knowledge is lost during this process and it makes the job harder to execute. Middle management lacks basic management skills.

    Advice to Management

Stop all the constant restructures, it makes the company look like it does not have a strong strategic plan and it ruins the morale of employees.

I worked at Diageo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Amazing brands and an incredibly talented and dedicated work force

    Cons

A silo based structure too often leads to myopic decisions that may serve a single brand, region or division/department.

    Advice to Management

Need to find the path to decsion making at all levels that is in the best interest of "one Diageo" rather than the fractured decsion making that serves segments of the whole.

    Pros

Money was great. Benefits are excellent. Some of my coworkers were good to work with.

    Cons

Lots of butt kissing in management. Company spent 55 million dollars to the Relay Plant in Baltimore just to close 3 years later. Consistently in competition with other Diageo plants across the country. No balance between work and life.

    Advice to Management

Treat people like people not numbers
