I worked at Diagnostic Laboratories & Radiology full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved the people I worked with. Had a great boss. The people in the laboratory care about patients. All of the departments worked well together. If there is an opening, it is easy to transfer to another department.

    Cons

Nepotism. Some employees deserved heavy punishment but have some sort of family connection in the company. The benefits suck.

    Advice to Management

Bring down the hammer when needed.

    Pros

Your peers are awesome, the team at DL worked together in a special way, Too bad management had to keep interfering. I am surprised they passed any inspection after witnessing the grossly inadequate managenent styles. really there is NO leadership.

    Cons

    Upper management.
HR is in a different state.
Do not keep vacation hours at termination.
    Low pay and no appreciation.
Earlier this year they 401k matched and then halted any matching at all.
Do not expect any kind of loyalty from this company.
    No oppertunity for advancement.

    Advice to Management

How do you fix years of toxic lackadaisical management?

    Pros

company provides needed services to seniors and individuals that may otherwise be unable to receive care

    Cons

lack of clear direction on overall organizational goals from upper leadership, unable to procure needed resources (labor, equipment, parts & repairs, etc...), to provide daily services, direct negative impact on being able to provide patient care

I have been working at Diagnostic Laboratories & Radiology full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very good for gaining experience. Need experience, this is the place. However once you have experience, no one stays. Reason is managers, supervisors and leads are verbally abusive. They devalue each and every phlebotomist they have
If you leave, you become the enemy. Very distorted thought processes, especially with the phlebotomists. They have team leads that go into facilities.looking for mistakes, they instruct lab staff to reject specimens on phlebotomists that are on their list. Instead of leading, coaching and encouraging team work, they create a chaotic dysfunctional enReason is managers, supervisors and leads are verbally abusive.

    Cons

    Dysfunctional, abusive.and distorted work environment.

    Advice to Management

Stop looking for mistakes to create a paper trail to use against the employees so you can try to justify not giving raises. Raises are earned, and they deserve them. When you go looking, you will always find mistakes and if you were paying attention, management makes the most

I worked at Diagnostic Laboratories & Radiology full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Easy to get the job

    Cons

Pay is very bad, so are the benifits. You will not get a raise. There is no training so if you don't get stuff from watching once you wont know whats going on. If you work there a year you've been there a long time. Co-workers attitude are not that great and management is just chilling on their phone.

    Advice to Management

Just stop. Hire someone who knows how to manage then start paying reasonable. Keeping the staff purposely understaffed so they work more is disgusting.
