I have been working at Diakon Logistics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been in the logistics industry for over 35 years. I have worked for several 3PL companies and seen many different styles, approaches and leaders. Diakon strives to be the best. they accomplish that by hiring the best in the industry and allow them to run the business. Their #1 focus is "Taking car of Mrs. Jones" and they hold their ICC partners, staff, management and leaders to that standard. I made the mistake of leaving the company in 2011, but was blessed with the opportunity to return in 2016.

    Cons

None that I can think of right off hand. All 3PL companies make mistakes , but Diakon is quick to recognize them and make corrections.

    Advice to Management

Continue holding everyone to the high standards of "Taking care of Mrs. Jones"

I have been working at Diakon Logistics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    ABSOLUTELY NONE AT ALL PERIOD!!!!!

    Cons

This is the worse company ever!!! They prey on minorities. They get paid cell phone service by their client Mattress Firm and does not pay it to the contractors. They Do Not give out raises and they don't promote within. The majority of their cobtracted workers are illegal. They practice this so they can treat them any type of way. If you need proof check every location that Diakon has service and one thing that they'll all have in common is high theft!!!!!!!! Other proof... Houston is the 4th largest city in America but Diakon only has 1 location???????

    Advice to Management

Be honest and treat your peoples with respect

I worked at Diakon Logistics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great computer software training. Opportunity for advancement. New skills attained for future opportunities with better companies

    Cons

Horrible chain of command. This place is worse than a soap opera with all of the mischievous coworkers and management. Pay was horrible for the amount of time labor and skills put into the work.

    Advice to Management

Get it together and maybe you'll be able to keep contracts

I worked at Diakon Logistics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There weren't any I'm surprised there still in business, modern day slave labor. You might as well join a chain gang.

    Cons

Over worked, under payed, unrealistic expectations, care more about there contractors then there employees. I'll never have a delivery from these people. I'd rather pick up my products.

    Advice to Management

I feel bad for you if you still work for them

    Pros

The only pro to this company, hmm really hard to come up with other than you get to learn about appliances and warehouse.

    Cons

They do not train you on you're job. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. These corporate guys spend way too much on titles and not quality. They will sit back all day and email you! All negative nothing positive.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so judge mental toward the people that work for you. No the customer is NOT always right they do lie. How about a raise for all the hard work the little people.

I have been working at Diakon Logistics full-time

    Pros

The corporate office staff are very nice and helpful.

    Cons

To upper management you are nothing but a number. Always kept in the dark and everything is always a big secret. Unless you are among a select few you will never be shown appreciation. Will never come directly to you about anything, will be secretive and pass it off onto a location manager, and then pass judgement regardless of the situation.
