    Pros

Pros are there is a ton of opportunities to learn and grow from strong independent women. There is also a great commission structure and bonus plan. It is a fun environment with tons of ways to learn and grow in the fashion and retail industry.

    Cons

You have to be a hard worker and love keeping up with clients, not much of a con.

    Pros

    • Ability to move up quickly • Great Bonuses and sales incentives • Medical Benefits for full time employees • Motivating work environment • Corporate team that listens I was able to move up very quickly within the company. From Store Manager to General Manager within 3 months and then Area Manager of 3 locations within a year. It’s an easy job if you understand the importance of hard work, dedication and be able...

    Advice to Management

This isn’t advice to Management but advice to people looking to work for Diane’s Beachwear. You have to be able to take criticism well and understand that it’s about the business and how to be successful. You have to be willing to work when no one else is willing or able during times of short staff You have to be able to direct your team and develop a strong clientele oriented and sales driven staff You have to...

I worked at Diane's Beachwear part-time for more than a year

    Pros

It was right on the beach, so break times were relaxing.

    Cons

Coworkers and supervisors alike were bullies, rude, disrespectful and just plain mean. I have never worked for such a horrible place in my life. They hazed new employees. I always regretted not getting in touch with HR for the cruelties in the store. This was a repeated offense by the employees. But from what I understand, even getting in touch with HR wouldn’t have changed anything.

    Advice to Management

I have a lot of advice. But nothing that will be taken into consideration, so not wasting my time.

I worked at Diane's Beachwear full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

None, none at all. This place is so comically bad, that I think the only "pro" I have are all the ridiculous and outrageous stories I have to tell now as a result of my experience.

      Cons

So many cons... where to even begin. Grab yourself a snack, because this is going to be a long one. First off all, let's start with the location. The corporate office is located in a disgusting old warehouse. The building has offices inside, with blue carpets that are covered in pee and stains from Diane's dog. You constantly have to worry about accidentally stepping on random dog poo too. My desk, computer, and chair...

        Pros

Absolutely nothing. Nothing good out of this job but the other associates I worked with.

        Cons

Everything. TERRIBLE JOB. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT. TERRIBLE CORPORATE.

I worked at Diane's Beachwear full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

First dibs on the clothes and suits

        Cons

I don’t even know where to start with the cons. I worked there for almost a year; we got commission up until April, none in the summer when we all work our butts off dealing with needy customers, and all the other problems that come into play at the company. Their pay structure is so unfair. One person who is at the same level as you, will make $8 more, get commission secretly, and get promoted out of no where. The...

I worked at Diane's Beachwear for more than a year

        Pros

Cute clothes, nice location and nice women working in stores.

        Cons

The upper management has no clear or direct communication with the in-store management or sales representatives. The women in the corporate offices never get back about questions and are always rude over the phone. They are sneaky and do "secret shopper" programs to spy on employees and observe their behavior in the store and it always just felt like there was no appreciation for hard work or any willingness from corporate...

        Advice to Management

Develop a way for store employees to communicate what each store needs and how they believe sales goals can be met more efficiently. Also create some type of commission incentive other than a free sun tan lotion or bikini. Each store is so different and some stores barely carry anything so it's unfair and hurts morale to put all of the stores against each other in sales competition. It allows for hard work in the smaller...

Great pay, reasonable room for growth. Love the owner she’s amazing just be sure you stay motivated & you’ll stay on her good side.

        Cons

The worst upper management!(store manager, area manager & directorof stores) Do not care about your well being. Fired someone a week before Christmas because of sales.

        Advice to Management

Have compassion and care for your employees.

        Pros

        No pros in this company

        Cons

Worst upper Management ever experienced. The company doesn't care for their employees, and that's the reason for the high turn-over. Everybody quits within weeks. All they care is how much you sell so they can make money. Managers throw crap at each other just so they can take your job. It's unbelievable this can still happen in a corporate level. Everything is manual - very stressful and such a waste of time. ...

        Advice to Management

You all need to learn how to manage your staff and treat them better... with respect. Salaries need to be higher. And the computer system needs to be updated.
