I worked at Diebold Nixdorf full-time

    Pros

Opportunity to move up if you work hard.
Decent benefits, lot of available overtime.

    Cons

Lack of leadership at the top.
No sense of teamwork - departments just blame each other for failures.
Company makes promises to customers that they have no intention of delivering.

    Advice to Management

It's an overall toxic work environment. Sales and account managers promise banking customers the world when the company isn't close to equipped to deliver. Upper managements solution to everything is get on a conference call and scream at everyone. They make no investment in having adequate resources. In fact, they consistently lay off people and then restrict overtime to ensure customer demands are not met. The company pats itself on the back for promoting multiple unnecessary executives but walks all over low level employees. It's a mess, which is directly reflected in the continually spiraling stock price.

I have been working at Diebold Nixdorf full-time

    Pros

I like many of the people.

    Cons

Strange times. The company is making stupid moves. I feel empathy for management as their hands are tied by corporate to carry out orders and directives that are clearly leading us down the drain.

    Advice to Management

My department is being setup to fail. There is no other way to look at it. In order to show a profit for 2018 Diebold Nixdorf is making moves that I find to be illogical and ultimately failure prone. They make us take ethic classes online then they make decisions that are unethical by nature. Either a company is turning a profit or it is not. Selling off buildings and stabbing departments in the back is not the way towards profits. It's a con. The next few months will tell the story as I wait the hammer to fall. For the most part I've enjoyed working at Diebold but it took a long time to get hired in. I had to leave, come back, leave, come back. As an employee you are constantly training new people, who leave or are let go by the company simply because their "time is up." It's a stupid situation where for every 2 employees we have four times as many temps. You feel as if the company is always setup up to run out, a fly-by-nighter.

I have been working at Diebold Nixdorf full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Local management and team are the only good thing I can think of.

    Cons

Pay, no life work balance, everything falls on the technician to do.

    Advice to Management

Investments in field service needs to be the only priority the company should be focused on at this time. We are losing highly skilled senior technicians due to no future growth or opportunities.

I worked at Diebold Nixdorf full-time

    Pros

Used to be a great place to work, medium size company where you had the ability to own your business as field sales/service rep and manager

    Cons

Turnover at the top brought in new mindset and took empowerment and family culure out of the company. This company also needs to take a hard look at its diversity.

    Advice to Management

Empower the field to make decisions that are right for the customer and support them.

I have been working at Diebold Nixdorf full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Not micro-managed, good benefits package, peaceful work environment.

    Cons

Company only cares about saving and making money, nothing else. They don't care about the employees and have massive layoffs every year. They focus more on sales than on providing great customer service. Field employees are treated like red headed step children compared to the employees at corporate. Not many opportunities for growth here and pay raises are scarce. Employees that aren't laid off eventually leave for better opportunities and for growth. The company hardly replaces individuals that are laid off or that resign, that's another way they save money. This forces remaining employees to have enormous workloads.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on the employees, we are the heart of this company. Also, focus more providing better customer service and not so much on customer acquisition and sales.

    Pros

This is a sit down job.you can relax in this kind of atmosphere. choose your shift that fits your life style. I enjoyed the work.

    Cons

In the beginning I was never told that I was being hired through a temp agency when I received the interview call, and you will never be hired in at this company, or get a raise. unless your a contractor, or engineer.

    Advice to Management

please! give your management some customer service skill classes and anger management.

I have been working at Diebold Nixdorf full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Well known company.
    - Passable health coverage.
    - Above average allowance of floating holidays, sick days, vacation days.

    Cons

    - Enormous pay discrepancies. Expect people with your exact job description to be making 5-10K more than you.
    - Performance is not a factor in wage determination. Either your were grandfathered in to a high salary or you're out of luck and will be strung along with 1% merit raises at best.
    - Department hopping is encouraged as it is the only way to get a meaningful raise. Very little growth or reward for mastering your craft.
    - Unstable, high-turnover management.

    Advice to Management

Normalize wages and pay based on role, job performance, and contribution to a successful product. Loose-lipped employees and large pay discrepancies encourages a high turn-over rate which results in a worse product or service for the client.
