I have been working at Diesel Nightclub part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is great, making $8/ hour + 3% commission really adds up -I average $30/ hour. Work is extremely minimal.

    Cons

It's a retail position, so the work isn't the most challenging/ interesting.

    Pros

As a sales associate you get an allocated amount of "free clothes" , an awesome discount, and a competitive commission based pay.

    Cons

This company will do whatever it takes to keep an employee. If an employee is constantly breaking the rules and hindering other co-workers, do not expect anything to be done.

    Advice to Management

Hire smart people. In my case, I have a store manager who is less competent then most of the sales associates. The schedule comes out sunday for the following week. The incentives to work hard are barely there. The lack of motivation I feel at work is astounding.

    Pros

Diesel is a pretty good place to work. The place is packed on Saturday and Sunday and you can earn really nice tips. It is very easy to request off, and not hard to get people to fill in for you.

    Cons

Workin with the public in a nightclub setting can be difficult at times. Sometimes patrons get out of control and wasted, however the security team is great in dealing with these kind of situations.

    Advice to Management

Give more praise to employees when they do a good job. Other than that, the managers are very easy to work with and also very accomodating.

I worked at Diesel Nightclub full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I loved it the most because i was working somewhere I actually enjoyed, the customers are mostly foreign...they can get a little out of hand but we're trained so well we just smooth it over and help that person as much as we can, the staff is more like a family then co-workers, everybody respects each other and watches each others back, the store is set-up to wow people always on good shape

    Cons

To keep good talent need to pay more than the average otherwise they will leave for better pay eslewhere.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees more.Update your technology and have HR work inside your stores to ensure the team is being treated right.
