I worked at Digital Alchemy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Friendly people: I've met colleagues who stay friends until now Experience: You are exposed to a lot of things; both business and technical side making it one of the best place to learn Everyone is always willing to help Career progression is there but you have to own it yourself (which is basically true for all organisations)

    Cons

Crazy hours: no such thing as work life balance Management kept restructuring, which was not necessarily a bad thing but it happened too often in a few months span Too many inexperienced and incompetent people being hired and promoted. A lot of good people left because of this. Leadership is poor; Most only care about themselves. The only workplace where I saw so many crying employees due to workload and pressure Very low incentives

I have been working at Digital Alchemy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

At Digital Alchemy, the only limit is your imagination. DA is a consultancy company that gather people together to do and build things. It tries a lot of different ideas, sure most will fail because that's the reality but quiter never wins right. Professional with lots of experience can really catapult the company. Senior people like Grant brings so much value to explore new territories. If you have a great idea, and can convince stakeholders, you can create new role for yourself. People complains about compensation and salary all the time but I mean isn't this negotiated from the start of your employment? If you are not happy, why accept the job? You accepted it, that's how much you worth, now go try make yourself more valuable.

    Cons

Company doesn't have a lot mandatory technical training. You must be self-motivated to learn new things. Company mindset is always hire new graduate as they will bring fresh ideas. The reality is, these graduates are trying to learn new things! Really need more senior technical professionals for best practice. More training will help too.

    I worked at Digital Alchemy

    Pros

    - Good environment - Fun Friday party (Snacks and Drinks) - Good teammates

    Cons

    - Changing the structure within the company - More workload when the company has new client, there are no resource to provide. The senior need to work harder to handle multiple clients - They trying to restructure, all department are divided to form teams as agile but it seem like they missing the concept of team

I worked at Digital Alchemy full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great place to get exposure across the Direct Marketing spanning multiple verticals and countries. Everyone is always more than willing to help you out when you need it a real collaborative environment. The sky is the limit in terms of career progression but you will need to take charge and make it your own. You're encouraged to think different and challenge the status quo. Nobody would be fired for taking a risk, the MD was proud of that.

    Cons

The hours can be tough but it is a consultancy, the clients are paying for a service. However there's peaks and troughs, so it isn't always full on. At times it did feel as though the majority of work was being done by a minority of the team but this can be true of a lot of places. The company does go through its fair share of restructures but it's all part of test and learn. If it's not working, pivot and learn from the experience.
