I have been working at Digital Alchemy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

DA provides its people with lots of autonomy in their work and also opportunity to grow. They are also quite the people organization. The people are really great to work around with and who make this place great. Quite a bit of restructuring happening now which is expected to address the issues raised from the ground, which looks quite promising!

    Cons

There isn't much of a con working in DA except that I personally prefer and am used to having weekly team huddles as a way to kickstart the week and help keep everyone aligned and this isn't a practice at my location. Also you have to be very self driven and directed as you will mostly be left alone to do what you have to do. It can be great if you enjoy that freedom and trust the company gives you at work but also very unnerving and challenging if you are very new to the field.

I have been working at Digital Alchemy for more than 5 years

    Pros

I've been in the data driven marketing space for over 10 years and worked at other organisation that offered similar services before joining DA. DA is the hub when it comes to Data driven marketing. The teams experience and innovation is best I've seen. Working with top tier clients offering strategic solution and seeing them through

    Cons

To be able to scale, manage, and support many clients, DA limits it's use to specific applications. This is also a pro as we become SMEs in best in market solutions or applications

I have been working at Digital Alchemy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get a lot of support from both senior management and the peers around you. Regardless of what situation you are put in you know there is always a strong network of support around you. The company culture is great, Friday drinks, quarterly drinks etc, yearly work get aways! Great place to learn some new skills and be across some of the largest brands in Australia. You also get to work with teams based overseas (Bangkok, Nanjing, Singapore)

    Cons

It can be a little hectic at times and quiet stressful. At times you are thrown in the deep end which can be overwhelming but you always have the support of your team and colleagues.

I worked at Digital Alchemy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Good career opportunities for the fresh grads - Chances to travel abroad on the business trips - Family environment

    Cons

    - The scope of work for the operation teams is rather outsourcing. The room for improvement is too small - The management has been focusing on restricting the employees lately and it's too much (eg. 1 mistake means no bonus.) - There were a lot of ideas and suggestions given out but never been listened to. - Some top-level people got the bonus payment while some hard-work outsourcing employees got nothing.

I have been working at Digital Alchemy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Strong family atmosphere, all offices are very fun and friendly - Several offices throughout Australia/Asia. - Good place to trial innovation but this has become noticeably more difficult recently (see cons).

    Cons

    - Anything resembling management, leadership or vision is absent in top level of company - Has become extremely micro-managey recently with an emphasis on unneccesary processes. Doesn't matter how good a process is, there just has to be one. - Don't agree with other reviews about there being no office politics, there definitely is. - Workload is extremely high, people get put under a lot of pressure and get very little in the way of support. - Company has tied itself to a sole KPI of how profitable a person is. Gets extremely tiresome and makes doing anything innovative difficult. - Average salary and "recruit grads" policy mean experience level within the organisation is low - All team leads are clueless. See previous point.
