I worked at Digital Alchemy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great place to learn, some really experienced and knowledgeable people Access to tier 1 clients Very innovative company looking to challenge the marketing landscape Salary is pretty good (dependant on role) Laid back environment Can wear casual clothes Provide access to Gym Run frequent company events

    Cons

Big cap between senior management and everyone else Some staff within senior management have been put into positions to manage and develop team due to tenure but don't have the skills to be able to do so Crazy work hours- work/life balance hard to maintain Log your work (by the minute) High staff turn over rate

    Advice to Management

Seek advise from middle management and other staff when it comes to changes as you are not aware of the down stream impact Be more transparent with whats going on within the business Create more of a culture where people are open to talk and discuss issues Provide more training and development (not just PDPs) but actual training programs Have people in management who actually want to manage people and care about... their career and development.

    Pros

    - Great place to learn and gain experience - Great people and great culture - Made many friends and still connect after working hours - Close to public transport

    Cons

    - Need to be willing to self learn and work overtime to meet expectations - Low salary compared to the current market - No bonuses - Challenging work/life balance - No defined career path. You MUST make it happen - No recognition and appreciation. Only those at Senior level are praised. - You can be praised for excellent work but then given a warning of termination - High employee turnover - Not enough... experienced employees.

    Pros

Friendly people: I've met colleagues who stay friends until now Experience: You are exposed to a lot of things; both business and technical side making it one of the best place to learn Everyone is always willing to help Career progression is there but you have to own it yourself (which is basically true for all organisations)

    Cons

Crazy hours: no such thing as work life balance Management kept restructuring, which was not necessarily a bad thing but it happened too often in a few months span Too many inexperienced and incompetent people being hired and promoted. A lot of good people left because of this. Leadership is poor; Most only care about themselves. The only workplace where I saw so many crying employees due to workload and... pressure Very low incentives

I have been working at Digital Alchemy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get a lot of support from both senior management and the peers around you. Regardless of what situation you are put in you know there is always a strong network of support around you. The company culture is great, Friday drinks, quarterly drinks etc, yearly work get aways! Great place to learn some new skills and be across some of the largest brands in Australia. You also get to work with teams based overseas... (Bangkok, Nanjing, Singapore)

    Cons

It can be a little hectic at times and quiet stressful. At times you are thrown in the deep end which can be overwhelming but you always have the support of your team and colleagues.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!
