    Pros

Great digital products. Seems to always be leading the industry.

    Cons

Company mission is to cut cost, not to invest and grow. Employees are not appreciated.

    Advice to Management

Listen to ground level feedback and make adjustments as needed.

    Pros

Freedom to execute goals on your own terms. Management is not overbearing. You'll have the freedom to get the job done as you see fit

    Cons

Not a lot of structure or direction. Overall though we know our job we just need to get it done. Also when conflicts arise we don't have much power to change operating procedures.

    Advice to Management

Provide more structure and support. Worry less about the worries of other managers/teams in the company and work more on helping THIS team achieve the goals

I worked at Digital First Media full-time

    Pros

The pros of Digital First Media are that they allow their employees to innovate and take risks to accomplish goals.

    Cons

The cons are that they don't invest enough in technology to make the employees and reader experiences better

    Advice to Management

My advice is that you can't cut your way to success. Invest in platforms that match the advanced sales knowledge of the company.

I have been working at Digital First Media (More than a year)

    Pros

Company was constantly growing. However now overtime is limited and the maximum amount of work is consumed.

    Cons

Some management staff is unqualified. The remaining management staff is under paid and over worked.

    Advice to Management

please ensure proper training to lower level employees.

I worked at Digital First Media full-time

    Pros

Great base salary, good support, fun job. Really enjoyed working with my sales and support teams. Plenty of earning potential with commission structure. Tons of flexibility, which is great.

    Cons

Difficult sales environment. Lots of pressure to hit (somewhat unrealistic) goals in a quiet sales territory. Limited earning potential for sales reps which leads to poor office morale.

    Advice to Management

Raise sales rep salaries or offer a better commission structure. Reevaluate sales goals and allow for larger staff to help hit numbers.
