    Pros

Really there aren't many any longer accept for the co-workers who actually still care to do the work. Just filling up space here to allow me to submit the review, there aren't enough pros.

    Cons

Poor management, parent company taking away average benefits and replacing with the bare minimum when it comes to health, pay is decreasing.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to empower the employee to make changes to better the org. Start taking proper action towards doing the work. Your people can't keep up with daily tasks let alone take on new projects. Fix your team before looking to improve process for other groups. Ensure that employees are actually being managed instead of having senseless meetings on new shiny ideas that never bear fruit. Stop asking your employees to do what you should be doing period!

    Pros

    - DI is family. Our family is growing as we become part of NCR, but the family feel is not lost.
    - The leaders @ DI (especially Jose Resendiz) care about the employees and really try to make DI a FUN and positive place to work.
    - DI is a collaborative environment. Senior Leadership (typically) doesn't mandate priorities but instead they empower teams closest to the work to define priorities and come up w/ creative solutions to solve problems.
    - DI's culture favors innovation, experimentation and a fail-fast mentality, which definitely makes DI a FUN place to work.
    - Co-works are incredibly talented, brilliant people that are extremely dedicated to their jobs. It is amazing to see what the teams are capable of doing.
    - A definite respect for work life balance and an understanding that family comes first. Teammates are always willing to help cover for each other during life's unexpected emergencies.
    - NCR HelpDesk is awesome. Some of the integration from DI to NCR has been wonky but the HelpDesk is super knowledgable and eager to help.
    - Data Center migration work is ALMOST OVER!!
    - NCR is heavily invested in DI and wants to see us succeed! Great to have that support.

    Cons

    - Focus on process improvement. Still have some broken processes, but I am confident DI will fix these.
    - Product Management has a tendency to commit to more content than Product Development teams can deliver. Leaders needs to make the difficult decisions on what content needs to be deferred to ensure teams can be successful.
    - Opportunity to work on dependency management across teams.
    - Some tools are still a bit wonky w/ the integration to NCR - BUT DEFINITELY GETTING WAY BETTER.

    Advice to Management

    - Help align DI goals w/ larger NCR goals and give more roadmap updates along the way on current status.
    - Regularly scheduled DI-wide town hall meetings would be awesome for employee morale.
    - Continue to do whatever is needed to retain top talent.
    - Intuit and DI had a culture that was very focused on employees and the employee experience. We need to maintain that same focus as we integrate into NCR.

    Pros

The Leadership team cares tremendously about the employees. There are a lot of very good people working hard for the customer.

    Cons

Integration into any company is a challenge and that's the case of DI's integration to NCR. They have fairly different cultures making the integration a challenges.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the effort

I worked at Digital Insight full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Close, family atmosphere if you're in the right group. Nice location and the ability to grow and learn new things.

    Cons

Benefits were reduced, raises reduced, bonuses cancelled and morale is through the floor due to layoffs and the constant feeling of impending layoffs.

    Advice to Management

There is no advice to management as they are so far removed from reality and what is really going on with the people actually doing the work. And most of the edicts are coming from NCR corporate in GA anyways. They have made it clear that they don't want to be doing business in CA because it is too expensive so it's only a matter of time until the new HQ is built and everything gets moved to GA.

I have been working at Digital Insight full-time

    Pros

Was a good opportunity to work on a larger and more modern technology stack than many companies. Old Digital Insight was full of young talented and driven employee's that worked hard and played hard after hours.

    Cons

Was purchased by Intuit, then sold to NCR. Intuit mismanaged DI horribly but they weren't cheap.

The new parent company NCR is cheap in everything they do, to the point where they make bad decisions.
     - Endless cost-cutting, layoffs, and worsening benefits and almost nonexistent bonus's.
    - I suspect all the California offices will be closed in 2 years.
    - This is not a good place to work. They are both bureaucratic and slow, yet cheap with no idea how to run a financial software business and keep or hire talent.
    - Mangers are looking out for themselves only.
    - They are hiring 3rd string employee's because that all they can get now.
    - People with any options are jumping off this sinking ship... left and right.

    Advice to Management

NCR needs to just sell Digital Insight.

I have been working at Digital Insight full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is okay. The commute is very short for where I live. Most people are friendly and helpful. Hours have been pretty flexible.

    Cons

The technology stack is very very old and the attempts to make it better are just making it old. There's a lot of tribal knowledge and finding documentation can involve digging through a lot of sources. NCR has greatly reduced the benefits and compensation and they just don't compare to other companies.

    Advice to Management

Not sure what to say. Focus on code quality. Do a better job with "employee engagement". Try not to send out contradictory emails in a row.

I have been working at Digital Insight full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The teams are all friendly and relatively stress free. There is a cafeteria and gym near the building. There are company-paid team-building outings, typically a lunch. Free bagels on Friday. With all the layoffs, there is some room for advancement.

    Cons

When it comes to front-end (client-side) development, they are behind every competitor by at least 5 years and unlikely to change in the next year.

Large number of outsourced temps from India who stick to them selves, but are other wise competent and friendly.

Managers seem to be in panic mode from layoffs, starting insane projects like needlessly rewriting the entire front-end code from scratch (ensuring job security for the years it will take at the expense of pragmatic changes to at least make the banking software responsive, etc).

Very bad attitudes toward front-end development, which is to be expected considering they're just now transitioning off of GWT!

You'd be joining a software shop which has undergone severe brain drain. If at a management level, you have the chance to truly make a saving impact on the company, but at a lower level... be prepared to fight for positive change.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest that you just hire an outside agency to bring your front-end up to modern standards. The people internally who've let the problem go on this long aren't going to be able to fix it.
