I worked at Digital Target Marketing part-time

    Pros

Laid back environment (but noisy and hard to get work done)

    Cons

No 401k, they hire multiple part-timers and interns to get work dome so they dont have to give benefits. Full-time staff get bad medical and no 401k.
There is unbelievable ass-kissing since the managers play favorites. There is no room to grow if you're not their favorite. Dont get used to the employees, they'll most likely be replaced within a year.
You can make better money managing McDonalds. They pay less than $12/ hour for non-entry jobs.

    Advice to Management

Be professional, make rules, train and invest in your staff.

I worked at Digital Target Marketing full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The People that work there are great. The ones that stay really care and treat the company like it's their own. If you put in the time and effort you get rewarded with raises and/or a bonus which I saw first hand. They were very generous with free food, lunches and fun company outings. They let go people that didn't want to put in the work which is refreshing. Management is also very understanding of employees with families and/or other situations that may require them to take a time off outside of vacation.

    Cons

very fast paced environment so if you want to just work 8-5 and never do anything outside of that this is not the place for you. Internet Marketing is probably not for you.

    Advice to Management

The more company meetings you have about what the company is going through/going the better.

I worked at Digital Target Marketing (More than a year)

    Pros

The people that actually show up in the office and work are easy going and a pleasure to work with.

    Cons

They'll suck you in with a care free culture in the interview, and then micromanage day in and day out. You'll be expected to work 10-11 hour days and have to beg for compensation. They play favorites. There are no leaders capable of making decisions that are operationally vested in this company. The CEO doesn't know anyone in the office, or what they do, but will be quick to make judgement calls. Upper management is difficult to reason with, and they'll turn against you if you question their decisions.

    Advice to Management

Take an interest and set goals for your company.

I worked at Digital Target Marketing full-time

    Pros

The lower level people are kind and passionate about their work. Fun environment on select days (Christmas party, baseball game, Halloween).

    Cons

Sadly, the low compensation and seemingly impossible movement on this issue is a huge barrier to overcome.

The small company size requires a large work load; working 11-12 hour days leads to a beaten down negative attitude amongst the majority of employees. When your turnover is substantially higher than every other company, I would recommend to look into why you're having this problem.

    Advice to Management

You do a great job at bringing fun into the office, but when partaking in these activities leads to leaving at 9 at night, people tend to shy away from these mood lifters. Also, please keep supervisor to lower level conversations confidential. A lot of trust is lost when you hear that your manager has spread personal information amongst their employees. Lastly, we don't expect to make an astronomical amount of money, but stop underpaying employees because you know that the office proximity is "worth it". It isn't. One can only work so many years being paid less than average until it catches up. You can't expect to retain high level employees when the compensation is awful. Please invest in an HR department.

I worked at Digital Target Marketing part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Exposure to online media buying, SEO, social media marketing, and direct marketing.
    - Great work environment.
    - Lots of snacks for employees in the break room.
    - Good for students looking to learn more about marketing.

    Cons

Part-time employees do have quiet a bit of busy work, but they do a good job at introducing new projects to keep you engaged.

    Advice to Management

Nothing comes to mind, I had a great experience as a part-time employee at DTM.

I worked at Digital Target Marketing full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You learn how to manage lots of clients with little time.

    Cons

    - No 401k. CEO believes its too much of a cost.
    - Looking for desperate talent. Pay them low.
    - Expect to work 60+ hours a week.
    - It is known as a sweatshop. They will burn their employees and churn them as they are just numbers.
    - Top 4 owners are just interested in making themselves rich, which in of itself is not bad (they are just ruthless about it)
    - No Human Resources department.
    - Huge turnaround on employees due low morale and bad pay

    Advice to Management

    Start treating employees with respect.

I have been working at Digital Target Marketing full-time

    Pros

Every employee is given the opportunity to take ownership over their work. Those who are career-oriented can diversify their skill sets as the company is expanding many areas of business. There is a high level of talent on board allowing rapid growth throughout economic changes and it's continually expanding. Upper management is very encouraging and truly wants everyone to succeed professionally and personally. You are not just a number here. Employees with families have a work/life balance not having to sacrifice family for their career. This provides the basis for a great company culture and fun work environment. Furthermore, coworkers are a blast which makes you look forward to coming into work each day!

    Cons

Just like any growing company, there are growing pains. Benefits are decent. During rapid hiring times, culture can get lost a bit; however, this usually doesn't last.

I have been working at Digital Target Marketing full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are no pros at Digital Target Marketing! No not one! This organization is run like a zoo with children at the top having no clue how to properly run a business or treat its employees. Let's take a look at this company and ask ourselves what kind of pro’s it has now shall we?

    - Is it a pro to not have retirement savings with a company?
    - Is it a pro to work for people that don't value hard work, integrity and dedication?
    - Is it a pro to have to always be ass kissing?
    - Is it a pro to be grossly underpaid?
    - Is it a pro that this company makes it living by having its staff sell crap online?
    - Is it a pro that the only benefit at this place is really lousy health care and a semi-monthly paycheck?
    - Is it a pro that there is no employee handbook with guidelines for staff, management and executives to abide by?
    - Is it a pro that rules are made up as time passes and policy is derived only when deemed necessary and more importantly used only when convenient?
    - Is it a pro that you will do all the work while someone else in management will take the credit for it?
    - Is it a pro that this company experiences some of the worst turnover in their industry?
    - Is it a pro that no one is offered any type of benefits package?

Ask yourself, if all of these things sound good to you... then there you have it!

    Cons

    - Terrible, childish and out of control leadership who isn't held accountable

    - Deplorable pay standards - which should be reported to the DOL because they do not pay "salaried non-exempt" employees, working way over 40 hours a week, ANY OVERTIME for it and this indeed could get Digital Target Marketing into a world of trouble!!!

    - Constantly told that no matter what you did, it still is not good enough

    - Executives take no ownership

    - No organizational company structure

    - No company org. chart - who's running what and who's in charge! Media is a zoo!!!

    - Everyone on staff is a Sr. Office, Team-Leader, Manager or C-level staff member of something... some are even Vice Presidents or Sr. Vice Presidents!!! Of what I have not a clue??? As I am sure they don't as well. Give me a break.

-Titles changes weekly/monthly - lets' just say a often here!!!

    - Terminations are regular and common occurrence here. They go through people like water because they don't value anyone. "What did you do for me yesterday, what are you doing for me right now, and what are planning on doing for me tomorrow?"

    - No HR person to report problems with, so be careful who you talk to because the whole entire office will know by noon!!!

    Advice to Management

Hopeless. Best advise would be to get rid of all upper management and start fresh.
