    Pros

Free medical and low cost dental benefits for myself and kids. Lots of jobs to apply for internally. Easy transitions to new positions.

    Cons

My commute sucks. Management seems to have their favorites. Very political. Employees don't always show human kindness. They also seem unorganized.

    Pros

Dignity Health Hospice in Santa Maria had an amazing director and team who were all valued and worked well together. Team work A+. Competitive salary and benefits.

Home visits could be quite spread out in distance but very rare as staffing was mostly well covered.

I have been working at Dignity Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Values, culture, and performance excellence

    Cons

"Old school" management maintains status quo. Mostly departments work in a silo. Quality leadership is terrible and does not practice according to organization's mission and values. Incremental changes accepted at the expense of transformative ones.

    Advice to Management

Create succession plans, high potential program, get rid of toxic quality SVP and VP who do not live the mission and values and create a toxic, demotivating environment for their team and co-workers

I have been working at Dignity Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Supportive co-workers and management. Great benefits. I haven't taken advantage of it, but generous tuition reimbursement.

    Cons

Busy and demanding workload so many nurses get burnt out quickly, therefore there's a decent amount of turnover. Difficulty training staff to keep up on more advanced cares i.e. IABPs, Impella, CRRT, to keep up with the turnover. Intensivists are also spread thin across the several ICUs in the hospital.

    Advice to Management

Work on getting an intensivist dedicated to each ICU. Be proactive and more standard with the way staff is educated and trained on advanced cares
