I have been working at Dignity Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great team members. Great direct manager.

    Cons

Different teams do not work well together. The others teams that report to separate management were horrible to work with. Possibly the worst place I've ever worked in re to this. Very unfriendly work environment outside of your own team....

    Advice to Management

Send a unified message. I believe that conflict between directors trickles down to separate teams. Sours the relationships all around.

I have been working at Dignity Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I like most of my co-workers

    Cons

there is so many cons. The pay is horrible and they give you so much work and if you have any issues with the workload they just tell you that you arent working hard enough or your just not very good at your job.

    Advice to Management

my manager hides in her office all day

I have been working at Dignity Health part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Strong benefits package and compensation, full benefits at same cost for part-time, great retirement package, positive atmosphere and interaction with senior management.

    Cons

“The budget” creates a lot of limitations, pennywise-pound foolish, which affects everything.

    Advice to Management

Tired of hearing about the budget and please look at long term costs, such as employee turn-over, vs spending a bit to allow us to do our jobs as best as we can. It’s frustrating to work hard but still not able to give the care I want to give my patients. I want to give great care to all my patients most of the time. Usually all I can give is good care and safe care, due to staffing, equipment and supplies.

I have been working at Dignity Health (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great mission, values, and compensation package. Lots of volunteer opportunities and activities. Good IT systems in place. Friendly co-workers. Very easy work with lots of down time. Perfect company to settle down with for retirement.

    Cons

Too much down time outside of the accounting close although this is a huge plus for some people. There is favoritism in the form of the same people being assigned ad hoc projects. Some managers lack soft people skills. Upward progression is very slow due opportunities rarely opening up.

    Advice to Management

Consider the soft people skills (or lack of) before promoting people into management roles. Implement standard continuing education programs to develop expertise.
