Weird hours that sometimes can be a deal breakers for people...you can almost never get days in November or December off.

    Pros

Its offers a better pay rate than most retail stores

    Cons

Goals are not realistic at all they don't care if it rains and the power goes out they still expect you to hit the goal
Training some employees received a month worth of training other (classes) only got one day of watching just videos and got put in the floor not a fair treatment of employees
When they fire you they treat you like a criminal they escort you out and don't let you finish your shift like if you stole something

    I worked at Dillard's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and room for growth!

    Cons

Manager is on an ego trip and horrible!!!! rude, unappreciative, classless, degrading
So bad that everyone I worked with including department most of the managers are ALL gone!!! She made EVERYONE miserable. Ridiculous "Friendswood Store" rules!! If you want to shop there on your day off, you must enter via the exterior employee entrance. So, if you were in the mall with your family, be prepared to trades outside and re-enter near the disgusting trash bins and stand in the rain until someone bothers to buzz you in!! Appalling.
lunch break only. no 15 or 20 minute breaks. understaffed therefore requiring more of the sales teams! I use to love Dillard's. I refuse to step foot in that store now due to the manager.

    Advice to Management

    Get a new store manager!!

    Cons

everything else...management had superior air of authority like a dictatordhip. sales goals are way too high connsidering theres no sales . associates literally fight for sales and it does get physical. ive seen it too many times in 24 years span.

    Advice to Management

work with associates in a diplomatic manner to hel with their sales and give some incentives for their depts.

    Cons

Poor Management, very young and immature employees, also unreliable. It is known to all Management and they do nothing at all. Very Embaressing!!!

    Advice to Management

When a employee asks the Store Manager to speak to or have the name to his Supervisor or District Manager and I was told absolutely not and escorted out!

I have been working at Dillard's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The pro of working at Dillards is that if you can work there you can work anywhere on this gteen earth. The workers are truly good people for the dedication they have given to a company that could care less about them.

    Cons

Ha, where do I even begin. It's survival of the fittest. Only the strongest will survive the turnover is ridiculous. They don't care about the employees I Have been told i am only a number and can be replaced. They will not even let you finish your 2 week notice so if you're getting ready to give your notice just know that will probably be your last day

    Advice to Management

Get in touch with reality because all of you corporate people are out of touch with reality. Advertise and stop making employees call customer's they don't want to be bothered and get in touch with the reality stop blaming employees for bad numbers blame the internet. When was the last time these corporate people worked in a store? Before online shopping was a thing!! I hope karma gets all of you back for the horrible way this company treats the employees
