    I worked at Dillard's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pros would be room for growth and advancement within the company. You get paid weekly, you get an hour lunch, pay increase after 3 months

    Cons

Things I didn't like about working here was fighting over sales, not making your quota and possibly getting a pay cut at the end of the month for not having made your monthly goal

    I worked at Dillard's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Discount is great
Customer base is loyal and friendly
    Flexible with scheduling

    Cons

Upper Management only cares about sales/numbers
ASM's are not good at leaders or mentoring staff
No real training, you either learn on the floor or drown
    Not a team environment

    Advice to Management

Focus on hiring sales reps with good customer service and your sales might go up,
rather than just hiring sales associates who hound customers about buying.

    I worked at Dillard's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The stores were beautiful, and merchandise very well, overall the associates were great, just most of them were afraid of the store manager, since she was a witch.

    Cons

The lack of accountability, since the company has no human resources that you can go and voice your concerns with with upper management, and the district manager was afraid for her job and would do nothing if you had a complaint.

    Advice to Management

Keep your Store Managers in check, don't be afraid of the regional since he is an SOB, stand up for the operations managers, assistant managers, don't let your personal relationships with Store Managers cloud your judgment, because you have lost some great operations managers/assistant managers because you have done nothing to hold them accountable for the verbal abuse that goes on daily.
