    I worked at Dillard's part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The pay is good for a part-time position. There is some incentive depending on your department.

    Cons

Management was very disorganized. They said they like to "promote from within" but I hardly saw this happen concerning management. The way the sales quotas are structured are outdated and need to change to adapt to the new marketplace. Hard work goes very unnoticed and is not rewarded.

    I worked at Dillard's part-time

    Pros

Very organized schedule and good benefits.

    Cons

It could be very demanding at times, and people would usually get into it with sales.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it professional.

    I worked at Dillard's full-time

    Pros

Good starting pay for a department store.

    Cons

Performance based pay... you have to meet a daily quota for a period of time or you get decrease in pay.

    Advice to Management

Don’t play favorites... all doing the same job

    I have been working at Dillard's part-time

    Pros

To be honest, I don’t have baby besides the base pay.

    Cons

Management is far more concerned with making sales and pulling cash in than in their sales team. They consistently hire new people, work them for three months, terminate them once they lose their spirit, rinse and repeat.

    Advice to Management

Stop abusing your power. Your employees are people too. You can’t blame someone who tries their hardest in a dying department store.

    Pros

    Pay starts high for retail

Management is horrible, they fire everyone for not meeting their unrealistic sales goals, it is impossible to promote from within if you don't start out as an assistant manager, they are very unprofessional, terrible hours, very unrealistic sales goals.
