I have been working at Dinsmore & Shohl full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Proud to work with some of the best and brightest attorneys...really good at what they do and willing to take anyone interested under their wing. If you raise your hand, you can learn as much as you want. Administrative staff is strong and helpful. Amazing work/life balance.

    Cons

Some practice groups are leaner than others...we could use more Paralegals.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing!

    I worked at Dinsmore & Shohl full-time

    Pros

    Nice people to work with.

    Cons

Poor bonuses. No cooperation between main office service departments and regional offices, absolutely the least qualified people in the service departments, absolutely the least qualified people in management

    Advice to Management

Get the problems resolved with your service departments. Hire a qualified head hunter and start replacing some of your old, out dated, under qualified management.

I worked at Dinsmore & Shohl full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people made working at Dinsmore stand out. In my experience it was a very healthy work environment with no backstabbing or any other behaviors that can turn a corporate office toxic. Made it easy to come to work everyday. I can't speak to health plan but vacation, retirement and salary were fair.

    Cons

It's a law firm so occasionally you run into unresponsive attorneys. But that was certainly rare in my experience.

I have been working at Dinsmore & Shohl full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very flexible manager in this office, great people, great team atmosphere

    Cons

    Benefits, Benefits, Benefits, Benefits, Benefits

    Advice to Management

The only thing holding this company back from being the best in the industry is how little the top management value their employees by giving them the crappiest benefits available in the country. If they put more money into staff’s well-being, this company would thrive. Those greedy people at the top are the only thing holding this firm back from its full potential.
