I worked at Diocese of San Bernardino full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Being able to work with the Youth has always been a positive experience.

    Cons

Standard Procedure from Church to Church is not equal.

    Advice to Management

Instead of having each Priest run each Church, their should be procedure and accountability.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Diocese of San Bernardino full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The environment is much more ministry related than it is business related and therefore will appeal to those individuals seeking an opportunity to integrate the two competencies. There is a clear over reaching purpose for working here that goes beyond the typical business profit model. For the most part, the employees are great (sometimes not as in any business).

    Cons

Challenges exist for financial funding of ministry areas; pay scale is not always adequate for employees; although the ministry goals are fundamental, they sometimes supersede common business practices; hiring is sometimes based to heavily on subjective reasoning and less on actual qualifications of the individual for the position.

    Advice to Management

Continue to make strides in being able to financially compensate employees adequately. Seek ways to hire more staff in areas that are critically needed.
