I have been working at Diodes full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good coworkers for the most part

    Cons

Management, management, management. The company is closing it's doors, primarily because of management incompetence. This closure was very preventable if the corporate office had paid attention. It almost looks like they (secretly) wanted to shut us down to ship manufacturing overseas to China and England.

    Advice to Management

No advice necessary. You obviously don't listen to it anyway.

I have been working at Diodes full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Dependable work, compressed schedules available, on the job training. Great place to start from the ground level, as there are usually opportunities for advancement within the company.

    Cons

Disconnect between management and majority staff. 24/7 operation, including holidays. The normal frustrations of a fast paced work environment with daily and sometimes hourly priority adjustments.

    Advice to Management

Streamline and simplify the policies for hourly employees. Integrate a strict pass/fail period concerning retention of new hires.

    Pros

Easy to get employment, they are always hiring

    Cons

Pay scale is lacking, and raises are small. Management has a micromanagement problem.

    Advice to Management

Don't brag about record profits and then give raises that don't at least keep up with cost of living.

    Pros

I really cant think of any other reason except that we are in tough economic times
    They have OK benefits

    Cons

very high turn-over because of poor work environment thus you are constantly training a new person who might quit just after the training
Morale is very low thus not a good environment for productivity and creativity

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees when they make suggestions on how to improve the work place
Stop poor planning and last minute rush
Talking down to employees is a strategy that never works
Senior management stop hiring a new manufacturing manager every year each one of them introduces new policies that will take a year to implement then they are gone
