I worked at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It's steady with random jobs. Depending on what you're doing, the people you work with can be good. Otherwise, it's like high school.

    Cons

Under paid. Management says they want you happy, but they don't want to really show it. A lot of work to be done and they're in trouble financially.

    Advice to Management

Pay people what they're worth. Don't pay them low Because it's Flint. If you paid them well, they will perform well and be happy..

    Pros

Helping people whom didn't ask to be put in the situation their in (Disease's ). Decent pay. Offer full time positions in a part time world. The facility helps you be more comfortable by providing everything you need at work so you won't have to leave like food vender's and a workout facility.

    Cons

Turnover rates. Company is getting to big that the service has declined. Favoritism. As long as your kissing the right person behind you can go far in this company. This job is just a steppingstone to find something better.

I have been working at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Management is great and provides ways to challenge me and provide ways to advance in career path. The work life balance is always taken into consideration. I always feel like I'm making a difference for our Patients even though I'm not directly talking to Patients. Lines of communication are always open. I feel appreciated for the work I do.

    Cons

Departments have come a long way with working together but need more cooperation and respect for each other.

I worked at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy full-time

    Pros

Benefits; flexibility in scheduling; many opportunities for promotion and an awesome corporate culture prior to November 2016

    Cons

Micromanaging; poor interdepartmental communication; culture of fear since November 2016

    Advice to Management

Take the time to learn the functions of your employees and their importance to the success of the company before slaying over 20% of your workforce. Corporate restructuring to appease investors is a fact of life in the business world but irreparable, irresponsible mistakes were made here and there is little feasibility that the company can support new business ventures. The employees that survived the cuts fear for their jobs--they realize they're only one SEC filing away from losing their jobs too--and are actively searching new employment opportunities. What will the company do when it loses those people too? Diplomat better "take good care of" the employees it has left or their talent will flee en masse.

    Pros

Culture, work from home one day a week, pay

    Cons

Benefit package not the best, executives give lip service about caring about employees but then lay off hundreds to please stock holders

    Advice to Management

Pick a side, your employees or your stock holders.

I worked at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company used to truly care about their employees. Used to be a great work environment. The team atmosphere was great.

    Cons

Since the company went public all the top management cares about is the numbers. Instead of trying to find more cost effective ways and improving the current processes they took the easy way out and just slashed the workforce. Employees have 0 trust in top management.

    Advice to Management

If you treat your employees as only a number and a liability you are going to lose your top employees. No one wants to work where there is no job security and you can get cut at any moment. The owner of the company preaches how important it is to him to keep the company in Flint and help the community out but the management structure he has put in place is going to drive the company into the ground.

I have been working at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent benefits, on site workout room, on site security, vast selection of food choices in vending machines, that's about it

    Cons

Management lacks the experience and professionalism, care about the bottom dollar only, shows favoritism, people in management very young and lack people skills, pay is horrible

    Advice to Management

Put your employees first, not your shareholders. Pay your employees what they are worth. For the amount of responsibilities required of employees, they should be making way more than what they do

    Pros

Flexible hours, work from home, good compensation.

    Cons

Poor prioritization of projects even with project management tools.

    Advice to Management

Stick to priorities and don't make multiple priority 1's. Current appearance has priorities. But new acquisition and Security contend for resources for these multiple topics with priority one status.

    Pros

The company means well as far as patients go but does not treat employees with a fair level of respect

    Cons

Management does not listen to employee concerns, they hide a lot of things from employees and belittle employees.
