I have been working at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy full-time

    Pros

Full time with great benefits. Time off has been added which helps with work/life balance.

    Cons

Hard to get a promotion over lead position. Management sounds like they listen but they don't really solve the problems that need to be solved. They keep adding more work for you to do without compensation.

    Advice to Management

Promote those who deserve the job, not that you are friends with.

I worked at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Doing work that benefits patients is rewarding, reasonable pay and benefits.

    Cons

Management anymore is based on who you are friends with outside of work, not based on merit.

    Advice to Management

Base promotions on merit, stop talking about employees, who's on their last leg due to attendance, work quality, metrics, and any personal details you know of outside of work. whether out smoking on break or at an outing with fellow co-workers. And base promotions on merit, not who your friend is, who fits into your 'clique'.

    Pros

Good Company to work for. Very supportive management and team. Good Benefits. You are free to cut your teeth and make mistakes and learn.

    Cons

The Specialty Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Industry in general is in flux. Financially, the company isn't as strong as it once was. It will probably bounce back, but that's something to consider if you're looking to make a long term commitment to working at the company or one of it's type.

    Advice to Management

Management is pretty good and honest with people. No real changes need to be made. They're doing a good job.

I worked at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company used to foster a positive environment for its employees and encouraged growth and furthered education.

    Cons

Company views employees as indirect expenses and makes that very clear. Executive leadership makes poor decisions, employees pay the cost. You will not be valued as a member of the team. Pay scale is low for the work they want you to do. Unless you get a promotion or a new position, expect only a small (~3%) cost of living raise every year.

    Advice to Management

    Quit being putzes.
