I worked at Directory Publishing Solutions (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The team on the floor, not the management.

    Cons

Hard work for this company does not pay off. I worked there over 4 years - put in countless hours, both in hourly and salary and my efforts were not appreciated. To the contrary, my direct manager took credit for all the work we were doing. After a conversation with my managers boss, when he asked how our team was doing and I told him my concerns about meeting deadlines, I was ordered NOT to speak to him again. When I complied for fear of other repercussions, I was talked to by her for not being cordial enough.

    Advice to Management

Stop using bully tactics with your employees

I have been working at Directory Publishing Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Somewhat flexible schedule. Solid compensation, but check your commissions carefully. Be prepared to change your sales focus daily & you will make it here.

    Cons

No trust or faith in their staff. Hostile jock bully mentality from management. If you like insult then this is your place.

    Advice to Management

The revolving door of employee turn over, coupled with the lack of appreciation & lack of trust (see video cameras recording your every move) and this is a recipe for disaster.

    Pros

    Wonderful co-workers, the non-management team.

    Cons

Constant changes. High work load without appreciation. Very stressful and negative environment

    Advice to Management

You are no better than anyone else. Take responsibility for your own faults. When talking bad about your employees, may want to speak elsewhere. Everyone knows what all is said about everyone by the management.

I worked at Directory Publishing Solutions full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

When the founding father was alive the company was a thriving venture. Most of the work force that was there when he was alive are now gone. If employee turnover is your positive you will see this in spades when you join this second rate organization. If you have a paranoid personality you will fit right in...just remember to smile has you will notice all the video cameras that will be recording your time spent at work.

    Cons

The founding father died in April of 2010 but unfortunately the management group that inherited the business are totally inept. They have zero business sense, they have little personal skills, and present an attitude of entitlement even though they brought very little business to the company. Employees have been fleeing the firm at every alternate opportunity that comes their way.

    Advice to Management

The employees rely on management to set direction for the firm which this group cannot. The employee joins a firm and makes a life changing commitment but the smart individuals leave the firm when they recognize how a management team can decimate a company and in turn the employee's future. Sell the business to a viable management group for the sake of your employees which is apparent that your group does not appreciate.
