    Pros

Location, Hours, Overall nice co-workers. This would be a great job for someone that's trying to supplement their income but because paychecks seems to be incorrect or late, its hard to depend on this for your primary source of income

    Cons

Phone System/Software, Late Paychecks, Poor Communication(If you know you aren't paying out commission etc late please advise the staff.) Waiting a month for pay owed. No real chance for growth, Meetings in the parking lot. No Benefits, No Paid Time Off, No Holiday Pay, No Vacation, No Health Insurance...NO BENEFITS Processes that does not make since, Super low commission. Be upfront during the hiring process, I was told I could easily make 55000 annually, just to find out I would have to make the company 1.2 million in revenue to receive around 48000 per year, Pay is lower than industry standard. If you are a real sales person this would not be the job for you.I found another position and pretty much stopped showing up, this never felt like a real job. But I am grateful for the opportunity and will be using some of what I've learned with my next position.

    Advice to Management

Come up with processes that make sense. Hire at least one person that understand the business, reporting, statistical goal setting, that could work with local businesses so that their are alternate ways to make may during slow periods, Compensate employees that are top producer and I mean with percentages(Not a bottle of liquor) Pay on-time and correct, I actually wish this company and everyone working there, great success. When sales are low, encourage management to find other ways to bring in revenue, even if that means getting on the phone with guest booked and upselling. Also, this what could make this better and listen to what could possibly make things better There are a few gems sitting there that could really assist in getting things to the next level, use them...., ....Best Wishes DVRO,

    Pros

Conveniently located in orlando, no late nights, warm leads

    Cons

No benefits. Indecisive decision making upon management. Poor quality support. Unfriendly atmosphere. Micro managing from agents that are not in management. Cut throat booking strategies. Poorly constructed training. Unfair consumer practices. No true HR or payroll department

    Advice to Management

This company needs a lot of work. They need to decide on getting a handbook or guide to help run this company. I've seen way to many mistakes and bad decision making upon management.

    Pros

Not many pros or even nice things to say about this company. Although every Wednesday is bagel day where bagels are in the office.

    Cons

This is the job from hell. You are constantly under surveillance watch and a lot of favoritism involved and like to pick & choose which birthday to celebrate considering management skipped over mine with no birthday cake. In order to make it to the top you have to be a really good booty kisser. There was a time where management made everyone come in an extra 15 minutes early to work everyday and not pay! Over the holidays we had well over 100 pending cases and promised homes for families and when they arrived the homes were not available and management did not refund the guests. We have over 16 BBB cases and even downgraded to a b rating when we still tell guests we are an a rating on our site! Certain staff get to work monday-friday like the so-called "admin" team when there are other staff in that department demanded we work a split shift. The supervisor just delegates orders and refuses to be on the phones in administration team what kind of mess is that? Job duties constantly change and increase with an increase pay after being promised a review with an increased raise that never happened. Please beware people you have been warned! I honestly have no idea how this place is still in business.

    Advice to Management

Start hiring a more professional staff I'm sure they regret some of their best employers quit. They are about to lose more soon so they need to really examine what is going on and make smarter business decisions.

I have been working at Discount Vacation Rentals full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The only pro about Dvro is that the office usually closes at 8pm so no super late shifts.... That's about it.

    Cons

Office is filthy, management lies to employees, extremely high turn over rate, paychecks are constantly paid late, missing money from your check is a normal thing. Commission is a joke (agents are promised hundreds in commission and get paid between 15-40 dollars per month in commission). Owners and partners hate working with this company because it hasn't paid many of them either. Bait and switch techniques are used to confuse guest regularly. Unethical practices are constantly being promoted by management. Money hungry, selfish, egotistical leadership has driven this company into the ground. The ratings on all social media are dropping drastically and the Better Business Bureau is regularly calling our office because of the ways we have mistreated guests and THIER families so our job only gets harder by the minute. I hate working here and will be quitting along with 2 others in the upcoming weeks.

    Advice to Management

Close down or sell this company to someone who knows how to run a company or at least a call center

    Pros

Flexible, participation in decision making, wide variety of job functions, phenomenal growth of the company and for employees within the company.
Located in Orlando Florida, the opportunity to move out to other places is an option soon.

    Cons

Discount Vacation Rentals Online is a small size company that does not have the means (yet) to offer a full social package to its employees, but the intention from management is there.

    Advice to Management

As the owner of Discount Vacation Rentals Online there is not much genuine or useful to bring as advice to management. If there is one thing I encourage to all our staff, tell me and we will work to make it happen.

    Pros

No late shifts, the occasional snacks in the kitchen, small office setting

    Cons

After 9 months of serving this company, I had no other choice but to walk out on my lunch break. My reasons for leaving this business are as follows: The company has no ethics, paycheck was rarely correct, staff was ordered to start coming in 15 minutes early everyday and was promised to be paid accordingly (and never was), upper-management is a group of cowards that will refuse to confront you with any concerns (instead, they prefer to send sarcastic, harassing emails to address any concerns), office is an absolute pigsty (cockroaches and used food containers everywhere!), commission is never calculated correctly, the company owner and his girlfriend refuse to answer any phone calls, angry customers stop by the office every week because of an unsympathetic customer care department, no employee is properly trained, the longer I worked here, the more my job duties increased with the same pay, the company itself is blacklisted by property management companies due to us not paying them on time, was constantly micromanaged by the passive aggressive management team, worked with the most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered (profanities, horseplay, and other inappropriate behavior), was told to lie to our customers by overcharging nightly rates and advertising homes that were NOT available

    Advice to Management

I assume it's too late to stop the pattern of immoral acts in this company, and so I have no helpful advice to prevent this business from going under soon. Make sure employees are actually TRAINED, put less energy on micromanaging employees and more energy on improving this business
