    Pros

I worked at Discovery Education full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The reason for the success was the quality of people in the sales, marketing, and PD staff. They were dedicated to working together, doing right by the customer, and promoting the benefits of the digital transformation.

    Cons

SOME of the people in leadership were a negative influence on the organization. Many of the best people and mid-level managers left due to poor leadership. Some VPs are some of the best people you can work for/learn from. Others were poor people managers. They lost a lot of good people due to poor leadership hiring decisions.

I have been working at Discovery Education full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Amazing people and mission. I've never worked anywhere like DE; the people are great and the mission to improve student learning can't be beat. The company has lots of exciting growth prospects as well.

    Cons

There's still some baggage from the old days as part of Discovery.

I worked at Discovery Education full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Everyone on the team is very passionate about the company's mission and the team is made up of very experienced individuals. It's good to have people who care about what they're doing.

    Cons

There really wasn't a sense of culture, especially after the split with Discovery Communications. Many of the departments were siloed, so there wasn't much collaboration betweeen them which obviously caused some friction.

I have been working at Discovery Education full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Mission driven company with many, many great people

    Cons

The senior team is conflict adverse. Too much favoritism forward “friends” and colleagues they like and know personally to make the right changes. CEO recently left and he was the person who kept the company growing and was the vision behind the company.

I worked at Discovery Education full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people that are doing the work at Discovery Education are wonderful Mission is easy to get behind

    Cons

Senior leadership is completely oblivious (or just unwilling to make changes) to the immense amount of work on everyone's plates. Ever since the acquisition by Francisco Partners the push to work 24/7 has become not only a nice to have but a need to have in order to keep your job . The culture ever since the split from Discovery Communications, the culture has been non-existent
