    Cons

Very stressful work environment. You must fit into their 1950's era look.

    Advice to Management

Don't take your job so seriously

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved working with the cast. Everyone at my attraction was fun to work with. It was a very fast-paced environment, which I really liked. I got to go to the parks for free anytime I wanted. A few times a year I could bring up to three other people to the parks for free. The money was really good. Making magical moments are just as special for you as the guest.

    Cons

The hours were super long. I worked up to 16-hour shifts with an 8-hour turn-around to another shift. My feet/legs were always sore because of the long shifts without sitting. It got insanely hot sometimes. The guests can be rude.

I have been working at Disney Parks & Resorts part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Access to the parks, discounts on merchandise and some dining options, if you're placed on an attraction you enjoy then you'll have a lot of fun

    Cons

Trying to get hours is a nightmare. I haven't been scheduled once the entire month of July and have had to rely solely on picking up shifts from my fellow cast members this is currently my only job and I can't afford to go this long without being scheduled. Some full time cast members do the bare minimum, if that, and it's demoralizing to see them get hours over people who do good work and go above and beyond.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire so many people at one attraction if it starts affecting people's hours. Rather than make drastic changes to how an attraction operates and the drop of a hat, talk to the cast about what works and what does not.

    Pros

Free admission to parks, cast member discounts

    Cons

    Low pay, long hours, micromanagement

    Advice to Management

Managers look solely at data. Would be better to reward good employees.

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free Admission to Parks for yourself, family and friends. Discounts as well.

    Cons

Very Poor pay for the money this company makes and charges it's guests. The various unions who represent cast members is very weak and mostly in with management so it is very hard to use them to your advantage if you ever need them!

    Advice to Management

Raise pay. Cast Members cannot live off the very low pay that you offer!

    Pros

Great real world experience, excellent customer service skill development, and you work with some amazing people! Free admission is also a plus!

    Cons

Unfortunately, a lot of Guests that visit Guest Relations are not the nicest. Very difficult working with these people. Pay is also not the greatest.

    Advice to Management

    Management varies and is inconsistent.
