I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You learn so much about guest service. Disney truly cares about successfully training their employees when dealing with guest.

    Cons

Downside would be that you have to deal with a lot of angry guest.

    Advice to Management

Management is very organized in every way possible. Everything about the company is pretty much smoothe and organized.

DO NOT HAVE THIS AS YOUR PRIMARY JOB

    Advice to Management

Keep the shift flexibility going. It helps those that need to pick up hours and those who would like to give theirs away.

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice working environment, diversified coworkers, unlimited park entrance, free park tickets, cast member discounts

    Cons

Working night shifts, hard work, standing up for 8+ hours, some managers did not know how to motivate employees

    Advice to Management

More cast member motivation, compensation for goals.

    Pros

Working at Disneyland is a pro in and of itself. Free park entry, lots of cast activities and job perks

    Cons

You're dealing with a massive amount of people, many of which are entitled and suck. Also the pay is low but it's not really a high skilled job.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!

    Pros

Disney has an excellent corporate culture. Most of your coworkers will be supportive and kind.

There are opportunities to help families enjoy their vacations and make memories. It is very rewarding.

    Cons

The job tasks are very repetitive.

You must be willing to handle difficult guests

Most attractions positions do not allow you to sit down. You will be standing all day, maybe outside in the Florida heat.

    Pros

It was my first job and I did it for 3 years. I worked in 3 different areas and transferred with ease. Their 401K and company matching 0.75 cents for every dollar you put in is incredible! No one does that nowadays.

    Cons

In the end management was becoming difficult to work with. And because t is such a big company to work for like a guest you just get lost as a cast member. Getting stuff fixed takes forever. And they keep letting more people into the gates

I worked at Disney Parks & Resorts (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Co-workers and benefits of going to the parks for free and getting hefty employee discounts on various products around the property. Various chances to move around the company and experience various roles.

    Cons

Low salary compared to the work that you have to do. Lots of politics going around the company.

    Advice to Management

Need to take care of core cast members that does most of the hard work on the hospitality industry.
