    Pros

It is a positive work environment that fosters creativity, innovative use of technologies, and has a strong leadership team. It also creates very positive family oriented entertainment products.

    Cons

This isn't really a downside... simply a comment... The Walt Disney Studios, and most of the businesses across Disney expect a lot from their staff members... the hours are long, expectations for performance are high, and the tolarance for mediocracy is low.

    Advice to Management

Keep-up the good work... within the industry I think Disney's leadership has position the company to be at the "top of their game."

I have been working at Disney Studios full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The breadth of the various companies under the Disney umbrella provides a lifetime of opportunity.

    Cons

It's a big company, so if you're used to startups or fast-moving pivots you may get frustrated.

I worked at Disney Studios full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good benefits (Silver Pass gives you unlimited access to Disney Parks most of the year, great 401K, health insurance)
Part of a great tradition and a great brand
    Great IP's to work with

    Cons

There has been a great deal of turnover at the top ranks of the studio the past few years. That has resulted in shifting mandates where one head appreciates one approach and then that work is invalidated by a new mandate. However, all appearances show that the management has finally reached a stasis.

    Pros

    -Fun work environment
-Chance to work on some really cool titles
-Most managers really care about their direct reports and look out for them
-Most competitive salary in the business

    Cons

-Employees are so comfortable in their positions that fewer people leave the company than usual (for most film studios). This can cause a lack of job mobility because turnover is so low. Nonetheless, turnover is low for the RIGHT reasons (work environment, pay, and benefits are fantastic), so not entirely bad.

    Advice to Management

Please continue to support your employees to facilitate such a warm work environment.

I worked at Disney Studios full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The best reason to work at Disney Studios is the opportunity to work with people everyday whose passion for what they do is a shared experience. The Disney cast members are the people who carry the torch and ensure that Disney's innovation and excellence in entertainment lives on. This excellence can be the experience of an adrenaline rush from a roller coaster ride to the action on the big screen. Everyday, someone, somewhere is being touched by a Disney brand.

    Cons

A commitment and dedication to hard work is a given, and the rewards are immeasurable.

    Advice to Management

Acknowledgments of accomplishments are always greatly appreciated by all.

    Pros

Great environment and supportive, collaborative team members. Agreed - long-term employees are proud to be a part of the organization.

    Cons

It can be a little challenging to navigate the organization at times given how large it is. But it's nothing that some persistence cannot overcome.
