I have been working at Diversicare Healthcare Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

onshift wallet benefit, and not being fired for anything because there isn't enough staff to realistically fire anyone.

    Cons

literally every single thing else. The management is poor at best. The building is falling apart, and should be condemned. The staffing is horrible. State survey is always in the building because of abuse allegations. They punish their good employees and let the ones that do nothing, remain unscathed. The male nurses and techs are constantly sexually harassed by the female staff. Whistle-blowers are fired. Chronic understaffing. Unsafe patient to tech ratios. The negative energy that is in that place crushes your soul and puts it in pudding. Management blames everything on CNAs, and bestows absolutely zero responsibility onto the techs to motivate them to do better. Morale is low, and it will always be unless Management respects anything and anyone other then their paychecks and themselves. They will throw anyone under the bus to save their own skin. They only fix things during state survey window and asks you to lie to them when they come in to do survey. There are NEVER any supplies to to the job required, and somehow its always the CNAs fault. Management doesn't respect their techs, and hammers the nurses. Its a horrible, absolutely horrible, facility. Drunk employees. Nurses that steal narcs and give patients Tylenol and ibuprofen instead. The horror go on for miles.

I have been working at Diversicare Healthcare Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

As a PTA, I consider my productivity expectation of 88% reasonable compared to other companies. I know of another company where they have productivity requirements of 100%. How can a person truly expect to perform optimally while putting the patient first with those kind of expectations?? I consider this a huge PRO of working with Diversicare as a PTA.

    Cons

As can be expected in the skilled nursing setting, census and case load can fluctuate. Full-time is considered 30-40 hours. There have been times (consistently) where my hours have fallen below 30.
