I worked at Dixie Services full-time (More than a year)
Good work experience for a newly graduated chemist. Management is pretty nice once you get below the very top levels.
Work environment was drab and depressing. Owner has an unpredictable temper. At least when I was there, company had very little concern about employee safety.
Advice to Management
Give the place a coat of paint, and then focus on running the business side, and allow your managers to manage their staff.
8am-5pm only. rotated night shift 4-12AM every 5 weeks.
on call is terrible. coming to the lab in the middle of the night for 1 test.
starting pay is terrible. raises are ok.
