Amazing culture, leadership, and customer base
Feb 8, 2023 - Strategic Account Manager in Austin, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Employee friendly but hard working culture - Knowledgeable co-workers who are always willing to help - Thorough onboarding program - Great customer base - Amazing leadership from front-line management all the way to executive team DoiT International has been an amazing place to work for so far. The onboarding process was solid, every Do'er I've encountered is extremely knowledgeable in their field and are always willing to help. The remote first culture is a positive and everyone I've worked with works extremely hard despite not being in an office together. Leadership has been so amazing thus far. Being personally greeted by the Yoav, our CEO, during my first week was a huge, positive surprise. The rest of the leadership team has been open and available as well.
Cons
- Better overall documentation around certain processes would be great (work in progress)

Good pre and onboarding experience; great company culture despite being fully remote; great experience getting to work with international colleagues; pretty flexible working hours, given presence across timezones
Cons
Nothing to note so far

Pros
Good peers to work with
Cons
What attracted me to DoiT was the culture they had. I started the job and everything was going well. I took a job in a field where I had no experience which they knew and through out the process everyone reassured me and said it was okay that I wasn’t fully where I need to be. They told be to have grace with myself, to not beat myself up and that they get that it’ll take time. Fast forward 45 days later, I hop on a meeting with my manager thinking it was just to catch up and I was let go. I was told I wasn’t coachable and that I didn’t take the advice they gave me. First, I don’t agree that people aren’t coachable. Second, I took notes, participated in role plays, reached out to other colleagues for advice and practiced my pitch. You cannot accurately measure someone’s ability to perform in a sales job within 40 days. I was caught off guard with the lay off and I just would have appreciate it more transparency from them.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience - I understand that it can be very disappointing when an opportunity doesn't work out. We have a very structured onboarding plan for new members of our Sales Development team, with clear milestones in place to measure incremental process and a multitude of resources to support new team members as they ramp with us, including a dedicated BDR Coach. It typically takes new team members up to 90 days to fully ramp up but there are a number of early indicators we look at to gauge the likelihood of long term success in the role - in particular we look for early progress towards mastering our core messaging, processes, tools, value proposition, etc. We feel confident we make every effort to have open and candid conversations about any early concerns and needed process before making any final decisions and we wish you the best in your next role. -Kristen Tronsky, Chief People Officer @ DoiT

Pros
I can definitely say, without a doubt, that this is the best company I have ever worked for. Even after 6+ months here I am still struck by the folks I interact with every day - just a welcoming, talented team of geeks from around the world. And that's every team, not just the "engineers". From PeopleOps to Marketing to Sales, everyone here is excited about tech. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help and even though we are spread around the globe, I couldn't be happier with the level of communication and lack of "silos". I've had several jobs in tech and usually around 6 or so months in, you can usually see the cracks in the façade and people start talking about "the issues". Not here. If you are thinking about working here, go for it - you won't be disappointed.
Cons
There are some growing pains as DoiT is experiencing amazing growth, but it's mostly that there are so many new people joining. But since the onboarding process is really good, I wouldn't say it's that much of a negative.

Take the leap and jump aboard the rocket ship

I have been with DoiT for a little over a year. I can say that they value your input and experience. They created a passionate and friendly culture of like-minded technologists who are experts in their field and also enjoy their work. As a CRE, I enjoy helping our customers on their cloud journey and it's very rewarding when you can provide timely advice and insight to either solve their problem or avoid a potential problem. DoiT also wants you to get and retain industry certifications and provides time and support to make that happen. Finally, you get a good work/life balance, access to industry experts who like to collaborate, and a chance to learn and get certifications. How much better can it get?
Cons
As with any hyper growth company, there are some growing pains. The company is always upgrading internal systems and processes to help streamline problem solving, so staying on top of those changes and locating information can be challenging.
