    Pros

I do you get along with everyone I work with this far as I can tell. I broke my foot and had to leave for three months and was hired back. I do you make mistakes but I try to learn from them.I do like people and I am a people person

    Cons

I don't like the gossiping that goes on from time to time I try to stay out of that. I do feel like the supervisors should take more time to teach each employee about every job that is done in the store just so that everyone can be aware of what goes on and how it's done so that they may understand the way the store runs and make their job easier.

    Advice to Management

Everyone just do their job to the best of their ability everyone and keep your personal lives at home if it's going to interfere with your work.

Make it more than just a job. Benefits? Full time? The store I was at is just gross. It needs a serious remodel.

    Pros

The store managers are a people person. If any staff has a problem, they take the time to listen. They are very understanding. I have worked under three of these store managers and they were super-awesome!!

    Cons

Most times throughout the work day the stores gets very busy, so unless you can manage this level of pressure, then you might want to reconsider application

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. You are already doing a great job.

I have been working at Dollar Tree part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Short shifts, easy work for the most part, managers are generally good with taking days off and requested time off.

    Cons

Lacking hours, store manager is lazy and unproductive. Pay is fine for a cashier job, other companies pay more competitively.

    Advice to Management

Stop expecting your cashiers to do everything. Do your own U-Boats.

I worked at Dollar Tree part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Starter job, Great customers, co-workers feel like family once employee has been there long enough

    Cons

No room for advancement within company, too much stress if stay with company for long time

    Advice to Management

Learn to appreciate your employees more. They are the backbone of the company and when that backbone breaks due to unappreciative management the stores will have problems. If an employee wants to advance the ladder within the company, work with them, not trying to keep them from advancing.
