I worked at Dollar Tree full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There was a lot of freedom in making decisions about your district. The benefits were decent. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of my workers.

    Cons

The salary is terrible, the company has demands that are highly I reasonable. They will fire you to save money if yoyre up for a promotion.

    Advice to Management

I would ensure that employees feel important and not spoken to in such a profane manner. I would monitor the regional managers much better as well.

    Pros

it is a job not requiremented.

    Cons

There were demand you work 60 to 70 hours when you are only required to work 48. No payroll at all you will spend all your time either cashering or stocking. High turnover 7.25 still being paid in 2017< really.

    Advice to Management

They are to greedy to listen they don't care about anything but money.

I worked at Dollar Tree full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy advance into management from associate position.
    ok benefits (For management).

    Cons

From an Assistant Manager's point of view. Bad pay(You're expected to do as much work as a store manager, but get paid close to a cashier...), Impossible to achieve monthly bonus, ridiculous if not unrealistic expectations from upper management. Just overall too much work, headache and demands for the bad pay they give you.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better and pay them what they deserve , after all they do all the physical/crucial work to keep your corporation functioning.

I have been working at Dollar Tree part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I was able to gain experience as a cashier, so counting money and interacting with people. These are two good skills that many will need moving forward in their careers (especially people skills).

    Cons

The store management lacked accountability from within which led to internal issues. Pay (minimum wage) does not match the work we had to do.

    Advice to Management

Interact more with the employees and store management to be more on one accord with the stores needs.
